My boyfriend and I had a reservation to stay at this hotel for the second night of our cross-country road trip from WI to CA. We paid ahead of time and our itinerary stated our room would be guaranteed for late arrival. After driving many hours and through mountain roads in the dark to reach our hotel, we were extremely disappointed (to say to the least) that we were unable to check in upon our arrival. There was a sign on the locked lobby door stating there were no vacancies but to ring the bell if we had a reservation and someone would be right down to check us in. We rang the bell and called the hotel repeatedly but nobody came or answered the phone. With no other places open in the little town, our choices were to either drive back through the pitch black mountain road (on which we had seen not one other car on the way in) or to sleep in our SUV. We ended up sleeping in our SUV in the hotel parking lot. While there, we saw another couple arrive with 2 teenagers and experience the same issue. They left after over an hour of trying to get an answer. The next morning, I was told by the front desk person that the night shift worker had the night off and nobody was working there the night before. I asked her to see if they had our reservation and she did. When I asked how late arrivals were supposed to get in, she said that the manager usually has someone answering the phone when there isn't a night shift worker but she didn't know why that didn't happen the night before. We were given a refund. No apology until I told her that we had to sleep in our truck. No follow up from the manager since then to apologize. We did not stay at another Best Western for the rest of our 11 night trip. In most places this may not have been such a big deal but in a place that small with no other places to stay for quite a distance it was a huge problem. Horrible...

Find a different hotel! Staff could give 0 cares about you. We called 3 times to confirm our room and got confirmation numbers on our rooms. We talked with 3 different employees in a matter of 2 months prior to arrival and 2 different employees on the day of. We asked if there was availability the previous day before our original check in and we were told yes there was.

Heather said yes there was so we had reservations at Hulett motel for the night before our stay at the best western. Owned by same owner. Heather then told us to call and cancel with the motel and told us to say we are with the wedding party so we could transfer over to the best western because they had availability at the best western. We arrive at the best western and told its full. Guy in the Tiger Woods hat(employee with no name badge) says “complaining won’t help” although this is true, when you call THE DAY OF the reservation and told there is available and there isn’t, there is room to complain!!

We drove 9 hours to be told we have no reservations and have to find somewhere else to stay. The guy wearing a Tiger Woods hat and golf outfit couldn’t of given care less about it. Don’t listen to Heather and her advice. Find anywhere else to stay!! Management if you see this. Improve your customer service and employee process!! Please respond with the owners number or management, your response will more than likely reflect...

I wish I could give more stars. This was a sparkling clean hotel. Arrived early and room was ready. Was met at the front desk with a great big smile and welcome. Everything was so clean, the pool was so clear, Twilia unnecessarily apologized that she had cleaned the spa that morning and wouldn't be ready for another hour. When was the last time you went to any hotel and the spa OR pool has been cleaned. That foam you see in most spas are peoples dirt, oils, dead skin and "other" bodily fluids. So to hear they keep the spa clean was reassuring. The cleaning crew were smiling and helpful and did a wonderful job making the rooms feel fresh and clean. I seriously thought this was a new hotel but when i asked I was told it is 11 years old. After leaving this hotel we went on to Cody Wy and stayed at the "3 Star" Hotel there and was very disappointed when we compared it to the BW Devils Tower Inn. BW made the one in Cody feel like a 1 star that we paid $100 more for. So in conclusion do not hesitate to book a room here, you will not be disappointed. Clean, Comfortable Beds, Hot Showers, Pleasant people...

We were supposed to stay in a tipi at Devils Tower Tipi Camping on July 19 but a thunderstorm with marble sized hail blew over our tipi as we sat in our car and watched it all happen before our eyes. Juliana Byrd, the owner, came to the car after the storm was over and gave us our deposit back and told us that we had to find another place to stay. She told us there is a really nice Best Western in Hulett about 6 miles away so we drove up there and to our surprise we were able to get a room. The front of the building looks like a log cabin and the entry is large and inviting. The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. The check in experience was excellent as was the check out experience. They did not have the regular breakfast but gave us a brown bag breakfast that included a banana, muffins, and water, and they had free coffee. This is a great place to stay if you want to see the Devils Monument. If you drive away from the inn at night to a spot where there is not light pollution, you can look up and see the Milky Way. Unfortunately, we did not see the alien mother ship.

With the understanding that lodging near Devil’s Tower is limited and almost next to none as far as hotel options go (understandably so), this was the best option I think if you’re someone like us who prefers to stay at trusted brands when possible. We’ve stayed at Best Westerns of all varying quality and this one is just fine. The location is fantastic. I was able to get to Devil’s Tower mid day, sunset, and for Milky Way photography without added drive time. It is much nicer than the options that are closer which are more like cabins and camping. Parking is good. The inn is 2 floors and there is no elevator which is something to note. I wish they told me this when I checked in and would have preferred a first floor room but I was not asked and I had a baby with me. It is over priced but there is quite literally no other comparable options. Don’t hesitate to book here for a visit to Devil’s Tower

Friendly staff. Decent rooms. Free breakfast options include; make your own waffles, bagels and cream cheese, toast, 3 different cereals, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, orange juice cranberry juice, 2 different yogurts, oatmeal, coffee, milk. There is an indoor pool. Hulett is a tiny quiet town. We enjoyed our stay. Room was nice, bed was comfortable. But the walls are very thin, you could hear a normal conversation from the neighbors... Especially the older loud talking, constantly hacking couple...
