Hulett Motel — Hotel in Hulett

My wife and I were taking our 2 Brazilian exchange students on a 10 day national park tour. Having just left Yellowstone, we wanted to detour to Devil's Tower and found Hullett online and so glad we did. We stayed in a downstairs unit with 2 bedrooms. Very room, clean,, good beds, comfortable. Loved being able to sit outside by the river, and contrary to other reviews, the Wifi was great. Our students sat outside by the river at a picnic table and did their online classes. A friendly and efficient young lady checked us in. The only glitch was that after we were in the room, the door opened and a man walked in with a key to our room. Somehow a different person in the office and rented it to him, although we had booked online. We all got a good laugh; an honest mistake. Later on a young man in the office took care of our ice cream orders...again polite and efficient. ||We would love to return to Hullett with more time and would...

I recently checked into the Hulett Motel after visiting Devils Tower on August 17 for a one nite stay ( confirmation 6597422W). Upon entering the bathroom to wash my hands, I was greeted by 3 flies and noticed the tub was dirty and stained. When I left the bathroom, my 11 yr old grandson informed me there were 4 flies in the bedroom. Looking further at the condition of the bedroom, I noticed that the carpet was stained and had holes in it. At that point, I left the keys on the bureau and we walked out. Fortunately, there was a nice, clean, moderately priced hotel around the corner and we spent the nite there.I contacted the manager and expressed my concerns as well as my request for a refund but have not heard back from him. I am a 71 yr old grandmother traveling with my grandson and we were not looking for FIVE STAR accommodations, but we were expecting a clean room. Sadly, I find it necessary to write...
