7-Hi Budget Motel — Hotel in Hutchinson

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM ONLINE AT THIS MOTEL!! I booked online through TripAdvisor/Orbitz. When I got to the motel, they told me that the previous owner stole all of their computers, credit card machines, etc, and that they had no record of my booking. They then had to call another place to charge my credit card since they didn't have a credit card machine on-site. ||||When we got to our room, the room stunk of bleach and some old, rotting smell that the bleach couldn't quite cover up. The toilet didn't flush. There was food and drinks in the fridge as if someone had been living there. There was no remote for the tv. Two of the pillows did not have pillowcases - one of those pillows had blood on it and the other was dirty. There was no top sheet on the bed, so nothing to separate myself from the dirty blanket on top of the bed. The windows had blinds on them. In front of those, one window had a long skinny curtain hung sideways to mostly cover the window. The other window had some kind of sheet used as a curtain. Both "curtains" were hung by stapling them to the trim above the window. ||||By the time the lady got to our room to deliver towels, we had already decided to leave. She was able to make a phone call to the place that charged our card and we got that charge reimbursed. However, the following morning, we noticed that Orbitz had also charged our card. I talked with Orbitz customer service and they tried reaching out to the motel several times to get our money back, but they were unable to reach them. So now I'm stil stuck with this charge on my credit card. Either the motel itself is running a scam or the previous owner is collecting all of the online-booked money. Either way, it's a SCAM and not only would I not book online, I'd suggest you not even try to stay at...

This hotel is way better than kings and queens cuz at least I know that here I don't have to worry about getting kicked out early cuz the people here at 7 hi budget r so nice friendly and the have what I consider excellent customers service and at least the people here r willing to work with me and that's another reason I like them better than kings and queens and both Rick and Keith r just rude and mean and Rick is the owner of both Kings and Queens but Rick runs kings and Keith runs Queens and I don't think their stupid kings and queens r as great as 7 hi budget cuz here at 7 hi they actually even have rooms with little kitchens and I don't think any of the other hotels in Hutchinson have that and so that's y I am giving 7 hi 5 stars cuz it really is a nice...

Check in was a bit sketchy. Not sure if I ever really checked in or not, because they never asked my name at the front desk just grave ne a code to the room. Front desk was empty when we got there with a note saying when they'd be back and a phone number to call. Tried calling, but they never picked up and they weren't back at the specified time. Rooms didn't have deadbolts. However, it was clear that the room had been redone recently. Good looking carpet and blanket on the bed. Everything looked clean.
