I would not purchase anything from this store due to their inability to deal with a warranty issue. We purchased two lazy boy chairs. Both had the same wear in the same spot. We purchased the protection insurance where they said anything was covered. The chairs wore exactly in the same spot (lower back area). We contacted insurance and they said it’s within manufacturers warranty and said it was due to wear, not pet or other cause due to same location on both chairs. Contacted the store and was told due to dog hair in one of the pictures they wouldn’t cover it. This was clearly not torn or ripped from a dog and clearly poor workmanship of material. This was all within one year of purchase. We have waited months for response from manager on the claim with nothing. When you spend over $800 a chair plus get the insurance you’d think something could be done. Its a run around and the best we can do now is write a review to let others know of our experience. Since moving to Hutchinson 11 years ago, this is the only place we have ever purchased furniture from. Almost yearly infact. We wanted to support a local business and were always very pleased with and recommended Factory Direct Furniture. We had an issue with our 4yr old, barely used, $3,200 Flex Steel sectional. The frame was cracked due to poor manufacturing. They refused to stand behind their product. Setting the sectional issue aside, while I remained calm, he continued talking in a belittling and rude demeanor. VERY disappointed and will never again purchase from or recommend Factory Direct Furniture. But, as the man told me when I said we would no longer purchase from them, He said, "I could threaten that all I want, but I was just one customer and there was nothing they could do". Absolutely terrible service. Unwilling to accommodate on a date and time for delivery. We scheduled for delivery and it didn't show up at the time we were told I called and the gentleman I spoke with was very polite but not helpful what so ever. He said they scheduled delivery for the following week not this week. This is pathetic I am about 15-20 minutes away and would pick it up myself if I had a trailer but I dont. The guy said most orders are scheduled months out because manufacturers are behind on production. This is irrelevant to me because I purchased something that is in stock purposefully so that I didn't have to wait. Extemely disappointed, I will be sure to spread the word of my negative experience here with anyone looking to purchase furniture in the area.
