We are Wyndham rewards Members at a diamond level. We drive for a living we are in a different hotel everynight. Honestly these people are taking advantage of people just because they are only hotel for miles so they think they can charge what ever they want. If we were not out of drive time we would go elsewhere. If I could leave negative stars I would, this is unacceptable. Hotel in middle of no where. Has very limited parking but enough for 1 semi or bus. Charged $161.35 for 1 night. When it should only be at the most $59 per night. Hotel missing siding on the back of buildings, piles of railing piled on property, piles of palets piled up, shipping container & storage building, Landscape is also in disrepair. Read moreWe booked 2 nights at this hotel to be in Idabel, OK to experience the total solar eclipse. The eclipse was spectacular! We expected the price of lodging in the area to be raised because of the eclipse. The price at Super 8 by Wyndham Idabel was at least doubled. We will not book this hotel again, even at the normal price. The family who operates this hotel is friendly and helpful. The linens were newer and clean. The bathroom area seemed to be clean and stocked with good towels. Otherwise, the building in general needs major maintenance and the rooms need a deep cleaning to the corners with more of the furniture replaced. We were most concerned with the door to our room not locking unless it was slammed (I'm sure our neighbors appreciated that); and while they knew the hotel would be full, they seemed unprepared to provide breakfast for that many people. Due to pending severe weather in the area the night after the eclipse and the issues, we left before our second night. Hopefully, the money they took in with the rates because of the eclipse will help them maintain the property better. We sent a detailed...
Read moreThe motel is updated. The staff makes every effort with extra pillows, and towels and making sure the place is clean. One family works the motel, so if they get complaints they all lose there jobs. It makes for great motivation and it really is a very nice motel. I have stayed there several times and have never been disappointed. I have even got up late and they served me breakfast after the posted time. IN ROOM ....Mini Fridge. Microwave, Iron, dryer, and wall mounted flat screen... it was a good value for the money. $68.00. There are cheaper motels in the area.. but I haven't stayed at them for the simple fact they look scary. Parking is a little cramped if you have a trailer, and semi trucks couldnt make it in, but for cars and trucks its fine... 5 minutes from casino, 15 minutes from broken bow, and 25 to 30 minutes from Beavers Bend Lake... a Mc Donalds 3 minutes away and a Walmart 5 minutes away... part of wyndhymm club so you get points for night stays. Military Discounts too. I hope...
