Still Waters Resort — Hotel in Indian Point

Very Disappointing!! Reserved the “motel room” for $157.00 per night. Room is small and bathroom is very small; you stand in the tub to shut the door (not joking). The carpet, furniture, lights, and air conditioner appear to all be original from when built in the 1970’s. Only thing supplied is a small bar of soap, so make sure you bring own supplies. Has a coffee pot but must bring your own filters. Room is always damp (small a/c), if shower in morning and hang up towel it will still be wet the next morning. When it rains (it did) you must stand in rain to order from food trucks and then sit in the rain to eat. Fun fact – if you order kids pizza with “single” pepperoni you will get more slices of pepperoni than if you order kids pizza with “double” pepperoni!! Be careful walking, no sidewalks so must walk in the street. Lots of cars and hard to see people at night especially when it is raining. Swimming pools are small, but area and pools are kept clean. It was great (some issues with mold growing on air ducts in our rooms, the balcony being a bit wobbly, sugar ants in the kitchen and balcony bar) until halfway through our first family vacation in 4 years. My husband received a call for a family emergency (I shouldn't have to go into any more detail than that) and we had to pack up our four kids. We (my children and I) checked out well before that day's required time of 10am and left the unit pristine, after my husband had left the night before and let the night manager know what was going on. This was out of our control to cut our trip short, and not only has the management refused to give us a receipt for checkout, they're saying they couldn't re-rent our rooms so we don't get our money back. This is the first time I've ever encountered a business refuse to reimburse someone in the event of an emergency. I would not recommend this...

Still Waters is so fun for all ages. From waterfall pool, to water slides, hammocks, 3 pools, the lake with all sorts of free amenities such as aqua cycles, kayaks, paddleboards, tubes, fishing and swimming, to delicious places to eat on property with lovely big outdoor eating visiting area with big screen TVs, games, lanterns, lights, etc. The employees are so helpful and friendly. We called the office a couple of times due to insufficient cookwear, toilet overflow, and bedding for the sofa sleeper. They were right on it! The 2-bedroom, 2 bath condo with balcony suited our needs perfectly. We were on the third floor... no elevators! We will be back, and hopefully stay on a...
