Just not that impressed.||||I’ll start with the pros though:||-the pool area is beautiful and there are life guards on duty||-we enjoyed the mini golf, though the clubs were in rough condition ||-the fixtures in the house are beautiful ||-our cabin had a very nice lake view, but with the wrap around deck there is literally no privacy between cabins||||And now for the cons:||-our bathroom was filthy. Like the absolute most disgusting bathroom I have ever encountered while traveling. While wiping things down as a precaution (because…Covid), my Clorox wipe literally turned black from the shower floor. There were multiple wads of hair, a razor lid, etc on the shower floor. I contacted the number for the on site property manager, and while she was apologetic, there was no one available to clean it until 10:30 the next morning. A man came and cleaned with bleach spray and it looked fine. When I went to shower later, I saw there was mold on the shower head. It looked like the shower hadn’t been cleaned in months. It really put a damper on the vibe of our trip. For a property that is as pricey as this is during peak season plus additional cleaning fees, you expect CLEAN!!! They did say our cleaning fees would be refunded.||-the cabin had ants in the kitchen upon arrival. We were told to put away all food, but we had just arrived so they clearly weren’t our fault. It was made to sound like what we had out attracted the ants which was not the case at all. The next morning some one brought ant bait.||- 5pm check in. Not a fan of this, but nothing you can do about it.||- Kids bedroom had chips, books, and a shirt under the bed from previous guests||- Our nightstand had a pair of dried up contact lenses on it.||There were just a lot of details that were missed. Especially with promises to have things extra clean because of Covid, this just doesn’t make you feel like it was actually cleaned. ||||Overall, would I stay here again? If I had to pay for it? No. If someone else brought me here? Probably, but I would pack tons of cleaning supplies to be prepared which is ridiculous. When I have a problem when traveling I expect it to be promptly addressed, not to have to wait to the next morning to have a clean shower to use (which still wasn’t properly cleaned!!).||||I think if they had been able to adequately address the dirty bathroom immediately, I would have given the property a...
Read moreLet's start with what was good:|1. Amenities on-site are nice for kids and convenient|2. Staff seems accessible for basic problem fixing (e.g. towels missing, something broken)||The real problems:|1. The 8-bedroom home we stayed in was a very unclean and dirty|2. Immediately entering unit and checking things out we found the kitchen trashcan broken and non-functional (e.g. foot pedal to open lid was broken)|3. Coffee maker had used filter in it full of coffee grinds from some previous tenant|4. After walking around the house the first night in socks the bottom of the socks were black from the dirty floor|5. The upstairs rooms wouldn't cool down during the hot summer day. They even had a stand alone floor AC unit in one room and a window AC unit in the second upstairs room. Not very appealing considering the $6k price tag to rent the house for the week. Something they conveniently failed to reveal on my call with them for booking the unit or show in the photos on other reviews and their official web site.|6. The carpet has massive stains on it and clearly has not been steam cleaned, nor replaced in many years. It was very gross.|7. The tile floor has many tiles cracked and buckling/loose.|8. Cobwebs in many corners and hanging from ceiling fans to walls. They were so thick you could use them as rope for a boat.|9. Tile in showers popping up where your feet are when using the shower.||It's clear the owners are just not maintaining or investing back into the units. There is no excuse for the carpet and tile floor to be this worn out. Nor is it acceptable for the floor to be this dirty. It should be mopped thoroughly (the tile flooring in the main areas) after every rental, and the carpet areas should be vacuumed thoroughly after every rental. The carpet should also be steam cleaned at least quarterly with as much traffic as hits the units, or steam cleaned the moment a stain is left from a previous renter.||I feel the other reviewers must be very forgiving due to the resort amenities to give the ratings/reviews I read before booking.||I'm sharing facts and telling exactly how it is. If you care about cleanliness for your family, this is not the place. The amenities are nice enough, but we could never relax given how dirty the floor, furniture, counters, and plates/silverware were in our unit. It was...
Read moreRented the 5br Villa w/ 4 couples. Mostly positive, 1 very large isn't for me though... Accommodations were great. Rooms were fully furnished, well taken care of, and had quality furniture. On site activities were amazing. (Which is a must for a stay of this price; I felt my time here was mostly always accommodated) PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS: Pools, hot tubs, mini-golf, game room (skeeball, air hockey, foosball, console games), paddle boards, kayaks... IN VILLA ACCOMMODATIONS: pool table, grill, patio, screened in patio, theater room, full roomy kitchen, up to date kitchen appliances, laundry/dryer machines... My main dislike(and don't get me wrong, I mostly loved this place) was the wifi. It was ridiculous. I felt I lived in the 2005 era in a shotty hotel with this wifi. They had a free and Facebook sign-in "super speed" wifi, and both were just awful. Sometimes I'd login to a website and the base sight would load fine and fast, but any (and I mean ANY) auxiliary images would not load. When running a speed test, I would see semi impressive results, but other facets of the wifi networking was throttling the wifi within an inch of its life. The worst part, I couldn't connect a Chromecast. I don't mind that their hd "smart TV's" were on the cheaper side (and that impact is shown most severely when using any of the "smart TV's" apps or menus) but the fact that their WiFi wouldn't allow me to put, and utilize, my own Chromecast on these TVs, made the experience just an utter trudge to endure. Because instead of me, or several others, quickly casting content from our phone, we had to fight the laggy "smart TV" menus and bad internet load times, to access content on the TV that our phones could access in a fraction of the time...
