Sun N Fun Beachfront Vacation Rentals — Hotel in Indian Shores

Our visit was very distracted by the property,s appearance. The property was advertised as a well maintained pleasant Beach front premises. The owner provides a bragging detail about the history of the property and lures the visitor into a false representation of the real appearance.|Reality....guests are greeted in the parking lot with flower planters that are falling apart and crumbling. No plants in them and dirt falling out. The grills.....there are four in various states of salvaged ..one worked. The fence line of the property was littered with accumulated discarded items ( rubber totes, broken lawn furniture, beach umbrellas, garden tools , broken plastic shelves and other items). This discarded pile was four feet high. |The laundry room has baskets of soiled towels and sheets all balled up ....they stayed there all week. The laundry room has open shelves filled with mouse/rat poison and traps. Outside the laundry room a storage bin has the doors wide open with cleaning chemicals accessible to anyone walking past.(Children).|The advertised availability for bicycles ....well there is a pile of bikes that appear to have just left. They are amongst the pile of accumulated items and are in various states of repair. |We witnessed guest using their own power tool to fix deck boards to avoid walking hazards. |Other guests during our visit echoed their displeasure in the property.|Considering the price we paid, photos and the promoted owner description. This is a lovely setting right on a great beach with well-priced accommodations. The place is vintage so it doesn't offer a lot of amenities one might expect but it is quite charming. Our apartment was large, pretty clean and fairly well equipped. If you have a specific kitchen utensil you have to have--pizza cutter, kitchen shears, baking sheet, etc., you better plan to bring it with you because you probably won't find it in the kitchen. The bed was comfy but lacked a blanket and I did not want to use the bedspread, which did not seem very clean to cover up with at night. The living room furniture definitely had seen better, more comfortable days--very worn and quite dirty. The wi-fi was totally unreliable and the "almost never there" on-site management showed little concern about that situation--"the office wi-fi works perfectly." Our unit's windows were painted shut and had no screens so there was no letting in fresh air or listening to the Gulf waves crashing--other units did have functioning windows. There is a beach side seating area that has lots of tables, chairs, rockers, etc. Unfortunately, no regular maintenance took place in that area so it was unkempt with overflowing ashtrays, oddly placed furniture, lots of sand, etc. All in all, the positives outweighed the negatives at this resort. Sun n Fun Beachfront is amazing! The people that run it are phenomenal! Thank you Bruce and Carlos. You Rock! Also, thankful for housekeeping who do a wonderful job setting up a pristine environment for you before you arrive. I love the clean fresh scent of the suites, non chemical thankfully. I consider this my home away from home and once you stay here I am confident you will as well. So much better then even the highest end hotels. Bed is crazy comfortable, love the high quality bedding and super comfy mattress. Best part is lying in bed listening to the ocean waves. Plus you have the best of both worlds: Ability to watch dolphins swim in the bay during a beautiful sunrise as well as a front row view of the glorious sunset here in Indian Shores. You will love the expansive backyard with lots of high quality seating as well as relaxing in the cozy veranda just steps from your private beach which is never crowded. No need to bring anything here but yourself since everything you could possibly need is provided complimentary here including beach chairs, inner tubes, sand toys even a stroller and kayaks. Book now and you will never want to leave. Best place I could have ever chosen to social distance during this pandemic. Praying that everyone stays happy and healthy today and always.
