Chapter one of the week from hell: when we arrived with cold food from the grocery store we were locked out for an hour because they wouldnât bring us our key, the room smelled like body odor from the previous guests and the trash smell from downstairs was horrific as they never took it out. The worst part was being a guest and only having one space with all of our condo spots taken by the construction crew and people who lived in the complex. The third night we walked outside and my car had been towed due to lack of parking even though the parking lot was half empty. I started begging the staff to tell me of a place we could park as guests and the only response I got was, âitâs in your emailâ an email that I never received. We paid $260.00 for towing and then learned that an older lady with a name that starts with the letter âNâ which I wonât say for her protection is the culprit behind the madness. She lives on the second floor and watches for any guest she can find to tow. The fifth day we walked out at 6:00 a.m. to see if this woman had towed us yet again and there was a towing sticker on the vehicle. We were in our assigned spot, with our parking pass displayed in the window and she still called the towing agency, thankfully we were able to drive to the restaurant across the street that told us Sandcastles guests get towed almost every night. We were so happy to get out of this haunted like, low class resort that we ripped up the parking pass and vowed to never come back to this awful vortex with an old lady that lives there and hates the guests. Itâs one thing to tow someone whoâs an intruder but to tow their own guests is disgusting and...
Read moreI know the condos are dated, each of them have their little issues. But it's tough to beat the location and the amenities. The area is always clean, the chairs available for rent are approaching being overpriced but are convenient and they come move the umbrella periodically to keep the chairs in the shade. The biggest thing that was an inconvenience was just the outlets. When you plug something in, it was loose and you had to prop it up at just the right angle to get them to charge anything. Almost all of the outlets were that way. But I really can't say anything else. It was a great experience and...
Read moreSand castle one is a decent place, location is superb, right in the beach. The pool is nice too. The condo ok, a little smaller than it appears in the pics. Only the tv in the living room worked, the other two in the bedrooms did not. In fact the tv in the small bedroom was actually a old tube tv w/ a VCR hooked up too it(see pic). Dishwasher didn't work well, but the washer & dryer was nice to have. Beds and couches weren't the best ether. Overall the location was the best part about it. We would prob look at a different place to stay next time or maybe a different, more up...
