Maybe I'm missing the point but THIS IS NO LONGER AN ATTRACTION! We were looking for something to do between a wedding and reception so thought this would be interesting. We laughed until we cried - there is NOTHING there. The LaQuinta converted part of an old building to rooms and the rest may been cute shops etc but they are gone. It's now a restored building with a marketing agency and a martial arts studio and the only other car in the lot looked like someone doing some office cleaning. This will now be brought up by my family for years to come since I suggested we check it out. If this location on the map is supposed to direct you to restaurants and shops, it's not working. Denny's and Jack in the Box are not unique dining options. And...

The Old Towne walking tour was wonderful and our docent Gayle was a wealth of knowledge and really opened everyone's eyes to how much history Irvine actually has. Old town Irvine is not like most old towns, where there is a long street with old buildings. If you blink, you would miss it. The tour shows you the blacksmiths building (Knowlwoods), the garage (Denny's), the old silos (La Quinta Hotel) and shares stories about how the general store, a temporary housing building and one home have been moved to this strip of what is called Old Town. We saw the blacksmiths catalog of work which is present today, drill bits, lathes and so much more. The tours are once a month and it lasts one hour. Highly...

Positives: Wasn't bad; good for the price. The employees were helpful and in good spirits. I personally love that it was a factory in its younger days, and you can still feel that vibe. I've never slept in a bed so comfortable, and it was nice to wake up to an awesome breakfast (waffles, apples, oranges, cereal, muffins, toast). Most importantly, I felt safe.

Negatives: It's kind of in a sketchy looking area, and the noise level between the rooms isn't the best. The wifi was in and out a lot, which was kind of aggravating. The rooms could have been cleaner in some areas.

You get your pros and cons wherever you stay. For the price and environment, it's a decent stay with a...
