Everyday Eatery offers a refreshing escape from the typical Orange County brunch scene. It blends contemporary design with a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy an elevated casual dining experience.
Ambiance (5/5): The interior is thoughtfully designed, with clean lines and plenty of natural light streaming through large windows. It has that modern, minimalist vibe—warm wood tones, light greenery, and comfortable seating—making it perfect for solo brunches or group meetups. Whether you're looking for a cozy nook or a communal table, there's a spot for you. It can get busy, but the layout prevents it from ever feeling cramped or chaotic.
Food (4.5/5): The menu is a delightful mix of comfort food with a modern twist. I ordered the Truffle Scramble, and let me tell you, this dish hit all the right notes—soft scrambled eggs with a whisper of truffle that wasn’t overpowering, paired with crusty sourdough bread. It’s decadent, yet light enough to leave room for one of their signature Superfood Bowls, which I also had to try. The Acai Bowl was picture-perfect, with a generous array of fresh fruit and a satisfying crunch from the granola.
Their Crispy Chicken Sando was a highlight too—crispy, juicy, and elevated by their house-made aioli. If you’re looking for a showstopper, this is it. For lighter options, the Avocado Toast felt classic but with a refreshing touch of chili flakes and radish slices.
Drinks (5/5): The drink menu deserves a round of applause. My Iced Vietnamese Coffee was rich and bold, sweetened just enough to cut through the bitterness without being cloying. They also offer a fantastic selection of specialty lattes, including their Turmeric Latte, which is perfect if you’re after something earthy and unique.
Service (4/5): Service here is generally smooth and pleasant. The staff is friendly and attentive, though things can slow down a bit during peak hours—nothing too disruptive, but don’t be surprised if there’s a bit of a wait on weekends. Everyone seemed knowledgeable about the menu, which is always a plus when you have questions or need a recommendation.
Overall: Everyday Eatery strikes the perfect balance between laid-back and sophisticated. It’s the kind of spot where you can bring a laptop for a productive morning or meet up with friends for a leisurely brunch. The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented, while the coffee and drinks are top-notch. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Irvine, this place is worth checking out.
Pro Tip: Try to arrive during off-peak times if you can—weekends can get packed, but it’s...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I tried Everday Eatery in Irvine for breakfast, and let me tell you, the popularity of this place was evident from the moment I arrived. The wait time was absolutely insane, so I decided to proceed without waiting and managed to find a seat despite the restaurant being fully occupied. The entire square was abuzz, largely due to the crowd gathered here.
I ordered their breakfast burrito, and while it was decent, there were a few aspects that left room for improvement. The first thing that caught my attention was the way the potato was cut. In my opinion, it could have been diced a little more finely to enhance the overall texture and consistency of the burrito. However, the flavors were satisfactory, and it was an okay breakfast option. My girlfriend ordered scrambled eggs with spinach and potatoes, and she seemed pleased with her choice. The eggs were fluffy and well-seasoned, and the combination of spinach and potatoes added a nice touch to the dish. It's worth noting that the portion size was generous, so it definitely left her feeling satisfied.
On the beverage front, I must commend the establishment for their excellent coffee. The brew was rich, robust, and exactly what I needed to kickstart my day. It was a standout element among an otherwise average breakfast experience. I’m willing to give this place another shot and plan to return for lunch to sample their sandwiches. The bustling atmosphere and the overall reputation of the eatery make me curious to explore other offerings on their menu. Hopefully, the lunchtime experience will leave a stronger...
Read moreDecided to give Everyday Eatery a try after seeing so many pretty pictures and positive reviews. When we got there, the line was extremely long, but decided to stay to see what the hype was all about.
There is plenty of outdoor seating as they share tables with all the nearby restaurants. They offer indoor seating (approximately 6 tables), but keep in mind that it gets a bit tight with all the people waiting in line.
We ordered the french toast, egg sandwich with potatoes, matcha latte and vanilla latte.
The french toast was a picture perfect dish; thick slices of brioche with mascarpone cheese, accompanied with bananas, strawberries and blueberries. [10/10]
The egg sandwich was a very simple dish, but I enjoyed it. It consisted of eggs, cheese, raw spinach in between brioche bun. The brioche bun was very soft. The only thing I didn't like were the potatoes. The outside of the potatoes were perfectly roasted, but as soon as I bit into it, it was raw. [6/10]
My husband enjoyed his vanilla latte, but he said that there was nothing special about it that would make him come to this specific place to get it. [8/10]
The problem I had with my matcha latte was that the matcha was not whisked properly. Everytime I took a sip of my matcha latte, there was matcha powder. Even the waiter noticed that the matcha latte was not properly made, because she started shaking it as she was handing me the drink. [5/10]
Overall, my experience at Everyday Eatery was not bad, however I wouldn't wait over 30 mins...
