Let’s start with the Positive… Great Location Spectacular Views Spacious Dwellings Unfortunately that’s where it ends…
This was a nightmare of a stay, 16 of us traveled from Orlando Florida to Vieques, the moment we arrive the view captured us. But the unprofessionalism and bad customer service will never have us return again. Our first night there one of the AC units in one of the bedrooms was out which made it a rough night for one of the couples in our group. But was repaired the afternoon of the next day. But as the AC was being repaired the water to the whole house went out and the remainder of our stay would be without running water in the house including toilets and may I remind you there were 16 of us staying here. We had to take our golf carts into town and purchase out of our own pockets about $100 worth of water just to bath. But this wasn’t the worst of it. We woke up Sunday morning to cursing and screaming from another house the owner Carlos owns (4 in total)… Come to find out this woman was the girlfriend of the maintenance /property manager (Nick). She was cursing and screaming at another guy who rented through Airbnb. We have every word and action on video. We felt so sad for this guy, no one should ever talk to a customer like that. Let’s move along to our 2nd night with no water. After speaking with the owner, he informed me that one of his other rentals was about to become vacant to communicate with Nick. I called Nick and he informed me he was in the shower, so I waited for his return call but as I was in front of the property I saw Nick driving his white SUV quickly down the hill. So per the owners instructions we went down to the other rental to shower, only to find Nicks truck in front and the door to the rental locked… So my wife knocked on the door only to have a girl scream at us through the door and a guy screaming I’m in the shower. You guessed it Nick, his girlfriend and their niece where in the home taking showers. That absolutely blew all of us away on how you would put yourself first before your customers. Then on Nick’s return to the house to ours he arrogantly said, the rental is ready for you to shower. At this point we got into some heated words. Once again, all 16 of us witnessed his arrogance. The sad part about this was Carlos, the owner, seem to want to defend the words of his maintenance guy rather than believe the truth as to what happened and witnessed by 16 of his guest. And with our last conversation Carlos tells me. I’m sorry but it’s hard to find professional workers these days. In the end Carlos only suggested a free night in the future for all the inconvenience of my wife’s 50th birthday celebration with friends and family in the beautiful...
Read moreWe had a weekend reservation for 3 nights. Two of the 3 nights we had no running water. One of the AC units in the bedrooms were not working the 1st night, another the 3rd night. The maintenance guy was very rude yelling at one of our family members. Totally unacceptable. We recommend no one stays here. Many homes on this island have water catch man systems as back up for water shortages. No reason why a place of business couldn’t install one. We were told we would get a refund for our nightmare stay. Never heard back from owner. Stay away, stay elsewhere. Extortion? It’s called customer service. Other homes around the island have water catchman systems. You run a business, you should have one, but instead you only offer excuses. It’s easy to say “leave & I’ll refund you.” But you knew we had a large group. Where last minute were we going to find accommodations for 16? Lame excuse, horrible customer service....
Read moreI'm going to have to say after reading the reviews and considering the area. I think people don't take into consider that this is not the United States. I'm leaving a review because I understand that they have been working on this house as well as the one next door. The house was clean when we arrived. It is not a brand new house, it is weathered by the ocean and humidity, and the hosts were more than willing to go...
