I did a "doggy day out" with one of the dogs (Sofia Marie) from VHS while on vacation. The process was really quick and easy. The staff is extremely helpful and flexible. They know all of the dogs' personalities and quirks so they can help you pick the right day companion. They recommended a nearby beach and supplied treats, leash, poop bags, and water bowl. Sofia Marie was so happy the whole time and extremely affectionate. She is great walking on leash and is very playful. If you have an extra day or even a couple hours, I highly recommend getting yourself a furry companion for the day.

They're doing great work on the island! Thank you for having some volunteer hours and letting my wife and I come to take a couple of dogs on a walk to the beach. Next visit, we will be sure to plan ahead to foster a pup on a day trip...
