let me start this by saying that i am a repeat client of Sage Stone, both at the spa and the wellness center. i’ve had very many positive experiences here and i generally leave satisfied. the acupuncturist Shayla is amazing and highly skilled. i had an incredible shirodara treatment from Sydney for my birthday this year. i’ve received other treatments here that have been great as well.
edit: i’ve changed my previous 2-star rating to reflect the total sum of my experiences here. i’m choosing to leave in my negative experience because i think it’s important to note
Read moreA review for minorities and millenials. I took my niece, a performer at Tuachan theater, to a spa for a massage and amenities for Indigenous People Day. She hasn't been and was very excited and I too was looking forward to a day of relaxation. Upon entering the vibes we got we already not the most welcoming as we found upon entering that it is more catered to a senior caucasian demographic. Nevertheless, we stayed optimistic and put on our swim suits and robe to go in the hot tub and steam room before our massage. We'll in the locker room, my niece and I took a photo together and no one was behind us and then a "Karen" came out the steam room door and seen us take a photo and gitty and she was angry that we have our phone in the locker room and yelled at us and scolded us for having taken a photo in the locker room. I explained she was not in the room and my niece ensured her there is no one but us in the photo and we will show her to prove it, but she wasn't having it and wanted us out and made it clear we are not welcomed there. My niece took it hard as she isn't use to this as much as I am because I am full on Latina and she sometimes can blend. Anyways my niece spoke to the front desk as "Karen" ran to the manager somewhere. The lady at the desk apologized for the Karen and said we are welcome to take pics and video anywhere we want in the place and apologized again. So we go about our experience to the hot tub and pool area trying to forget what just happened and did our best to forget and relax hoping the massage would be worth it. When it is time for us to get a massage, we go in and get ready for massages that we're to be 80min. We'll mine lasted but hers ended at 40min because her massage therapist placed a hot towel on her chest/armpit and burned her. When she tried to move it he said no just relax because that area is tight. We'll it burned her so bad that I when he took it off he seen a large red welt and blamed her saying why didn't you say something. It was her 1st time and she tried moving it and he is the expert and it left broken red blood vessels for 2 days and remained burned. No wonder he finished early because it must have been hard for him to recover after that. She didn't get a good or full massage and got burned. So we told the front desk and they apologized and said we were just having the worst experiences here and kept apologizing and saying they will make it right by a discount. We'll that discount was $19.50 on a $400 tab. I wouldn't recommend this place to any young person or minority and am sure you will get a decent experience if you are older and caucasion, then you will be treated and pampered...
Read moreI was a little disappointed in the massage with Nancy: The hot stone was only used on the back and I had to choose a spot? Seems weird if you add on hot stone they don't do the whole body: She really didn't seem vested in my issues when I walked in: she asked I said hips and just asked quickly told me to put my glasses on the shelf and lay face down: I got the vibe she didn't feel like being there today. It came across abrupt: the front desk reception at the locker room where we received our robe and instructions she never smiled and seemed like she wasn't enjoying her job or making it an experience for us. It seemed like the staff were just going through the motions: had a weird vibe. I don't like climbing circle stairs to get from the spa treatment: to the changing room: to the lobby. I find that strange but I guess because it's a circular building but not conducive for a spa building in my opinion I would move the spa to one of the other buildings. But on the upside the views are beautiful in the...
