Suburban Studios Montpelier — Hotel in Jefferson Township

Rude don’t know what’s going on. The restaurant the main bar made that’s been there awhile was very rude stating I been here the longest and never heard of any discounts on drinks or food well it was suppose to since I got the package after hours deal with the winery nobody new what this was or anything the shuttle driver was prompt but nagged about all the employees which nobody wanted to hear. I sat in the restaurant watching the band and they kept saying we will be right with you I was kind and said ok. They ignored me and waited on other customers that walked in. I finally had to say to others that worked there how do you get service in here? Well I heard them say talking about me that I was the one that wanted discounts earlier when I asked about the package flyer that stated that. My family said they would never come back I agreed. The food was good but they way the workers acted we didn’t really want to eat because afraid they done something to the food. I heard other people that rode to the winery they would never come back couldn’t get a room when arrived and missed the opening activities at the winery because of no rooms ready. They tried to put me in a room with one bed and I was with my brother in that room I said no I’m not sleeping with my brother I was told when I booked this I was going to get a sweet with two beds and everything we needed so we had to walk back and forth being disabled also to finally get a room. Was suppose to be out to the winery at the band was late it was a total disaster nightmare. Whoever runs the establishment I’d fire the whole bunch and restart with well established workers your loosing buisness anyway the way I was told and surrounding native people that lives around this place. Update: Midnight and people participating in the event are making noise and shouting. Clearly the hotel staff does not care about their non-event guests and upholding quiet hours. Also, the claim on the Quality Inn website that, "These events will last no later then 11:00 pm." is clearly a lie.

Shared Suburban Studios/Quality Inn location. My mistake for not realizing this while considering booking here and failing to look at the Quality Inn reviews which I feel are more accurate than the Suburban Studios reviews.

There was a noisy model toy indoor tractor pull event this weekend that was not announced on the hotel website. I have no issue with the event participants nor their organization. I do have issue with the hotel not making this clearly aware on their website and not upholding quiet hours. The website for Suburban Studios does not mention anything about events. The website for Quality Inn does mention to ask about events, but about three-fourths of the way down the page. It also claims "These events will last no later then 11:00 pm." Had I known the event was going on, I would not have booked my stay here. Receptionist said they would probably quiet down about 11 pm. Sorry, but that's not acceptable. Most hotel's quiet hours start at either 9 pm or 10 pm.

Pillows are throw pillow sized and not sleeping pillows. Picture attached.

Be sure your hotspot on your phone is working because their internet is next to useless. Definitely throttled on streaming sites like YouTube and Twitch.

At least on the side of the building my room was, there were no windows to the outside. Window by the room door was to the hallway and makes it feel like you're in a fish bowl when people walk by. Overall feeling of the room is like...

No light over or near desk. Was not able to see keyboard to type or work on any papers. Poor lighting in room overall. Bathroom light controlled light in toilet area in small room AND the sink area! Thus when going to the toilet and turning on the light for the bathroom/toilet the lights for the sink area turns on and half lights up the bedroom area disturbing your partner still trying to sleep. Should be on different switches. No electrical outlet near desk/table for laptop. Had to either pull out the tv console to get behind or run an extension cord from table around refrigerator causing a trip hazard to an outlet with no plate cover. No electrical outlet plate cover for refrigerator on side wall easily able to get to by anyone, but far from table.. Some child or adult could accidentally put their fingers into the side of the socket and touch the electrical wires on the screws on the side and get fried. We were surprised to find no fluffy quilt on the bed but instead just a sheet and thin brown cover sheet. Not what we usually get when staying at a comfort inn or quality inn. I paid an extra $9 for Suburban 3rd floor room instead of the 1st and 2nd floor quality inn. Never been in a hotel that had a two brands of choice in the same building before. Paying extra for the upgrade to a suburban was not worth it UNLESS, the quality inn rooms...
