Let me start by saying this is the only negative review I have ever written for a business. Last night my friend and I went out for dinner/drinks at JJ Winns and we knew live music would be playing in the bar. We ordered our meals and waited for an hour to get our food. The waitress was good and very apologetic for the wait, we really were not terribly upset with the wait because we planned to stay and listen to the music for awhile anyway. When cutting into my meat I noticed it was undercooked and I had requested well done. The waitress graciously took it back to the kitchen for more cooking. About 5min later my meal comes back out and was still blood red in the middle. I shared with the waitress that I had been to this restaurant a couple years ago and had a long wait and similar issues at that time. She asked, if I would like to speak to the owner, I said, "Sure," thinking if I was the business owner I would appreciate feedback from customers. When the busineess owner (Josh Fiser) came to my table I began to speak and said, " I was here" when Josh interrupted me and said, "What is the problem?" I then began to speak again and he interrupted me again by saying, "I said, what is the problem?" At this time his body language and glare were very intimidating. I finally just showed him my plate, he asked if I wanted it taken off my bill and I said, "yes." He then took my plate turned around and walked away without saying another word. I rarely complain or give feedback at a restaurant and if I do it is in a respectful manner because most businesses really do try to provide good customer service and care about their customers. I was so disgusted by how Josh spoke to me in a condensending and very intimidating manner, I have never been treated that way by anyone in any segment of the service industry in 50 years. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, as unfortunately this small business owner does not respect his customers as reflected in his words and...
Read moreI got nothing but WOW. When my wife said we were going to a restaurant in a Qualty Inn hotel, I was not excited. When we arrived, I perked right up. The decore is fresh and lends to a much higher end experience than I was expecting. The menu is on a tablet with phots descriptions and pricing. No .99 on the pricing. All whole nunbers !! Again a clean high end look and feel. I ordered the sirloin, I am VERY fussy about my steak and wanted to try it. I rarely get a sirloin I like , but, again my expectations were low so I was not going to spend more. If at this point you have pegged me for a cynic, your right. When the steak arrived and checked it for color, it was a hair more pink than I was expecting, but, once I bit into it, THE PARTY WAS LIT !!! This is AWESOME SIRLOIN, 2 words you never see together. The sides were great, the portions generous but not ridiculous. This is a MUST TRY place. It is about a 40 minute drive for me, but, we are going next werkend and I am trying the ribeye. I am so excited, I want...
Read moreA couple of weeks ago, my husband made a reservation in this restaurant for us and my recently widowed brother. The young man who made the reservation was very specific about the time and number of 3 adults. Fine. We thought we were set. Then we found it necessary to call and add another adult and child. The woman who answered the phone said they were closed on Christmas and had never been open on that day ! I told her my husband made the reservation ! Apparently the young man was clueless and, quite easily, could have ruined our Christmas dinner when we would have shown up at a closed restaurant ! This establishment needs to educate their employees much better than this. We have eaten here before and the food is very good but there is NO excuse for an episode such as this. Beware of any reservation you make at this restaurant. At the very least, call back...
