Townsmen Inn — Hotel in Jena

The wife and myself were heading down to Jena, Louisiana to supprise some old friends and decided to stay at the Townsmen. At first look, it does seem to be a motel that has been there for sometime. However, talk about clean and comfy, this place was. The lady who checked us in was wonderful. The place may be a little old but is very well kept, The beds were great, very clean bathroom and sleeping room. You can park right in front of your room and we could really relax. I believe it's the only place to stay in Jena but you're treated as though there were more places and you had a choice. If you run out of something, there is a convenience store directly across the street from the Inn. Will definatly stay here again when in the area and hope that sweet lady who checks us in...

Rooms had dirty Comforter’s and sheets bugs and roaches crawling in my room, also dogs living in the rooms I walked to my car and the dogs were barking a meI visited Jena for a funeral from California on Oct 14 15 and 16 and was very disappointed upon arrival. I spoke to the receptionist a few days before I arrived to Jena and asked if the hotel had been renovated the receptionist said yes, and when I arrived at the hotel I asked for a new renovated room and she said when you get to your room you will see the improvement. I were in Jena about 2 years ago it was discussing then, I see no improvement for $89.99 a night come on Jena you can do better, I’m from California not use to a Hotel in...

Over priced at 89.99$ a night and being Honest for that price you would think you get a complimentary breakfast but No and the rooms still need to be updated, also They say free wifi but it only works up front by office or by the pool can't work in the room. The older lady that's works during the day time gets very rude at times. Housekeepers were nice and cleaned our rooms without stealing anything that's a + for us. I give this hotel 3 stars because they have clean bug free rooms, good housekeeping, and nice pool area. Front desk service could be better wifi could be better pricing most definitely...
