Spring Market — Local services in Jena

Not sure why there are so many good reviews but here we go. For starters, this store is so expensive it’s unbelievable. It’s worth it to drive to Kroger every month to get better deals. Secondly, I’ve been shopping here every month for about a year and I had multiple items expired by not just a few days, But WEEKS. My last time going there I bought a jar of jelly that said “Best Buy” that had a date of over a MONTH. When I brought it back to exchange, they told me it’s okay to sell past the Best Buy date. Preserves like that last at least a year. Which means this has been on the shelf for a very long time. They tried to explain to me that expired food is okay to have. I got my money back and went to Walmart. I’ll happily check out my own food. At least it’s fresh. Oh and the “fresh” chicken is old and spoils after a day. Just...

I just went in and bought a whole tenderloin of beef and some Cesar salad kits, and some goat cheese and some cola soda, I was glad they had Angus Beef for the meat. Do you realize we save a ton of money buying it whole cut around 17vsteaks and figure out how much was spent on each steak as opposed to buying a MacDonald burger fries and drink at $7.99 for a meal, and do you realize for the price of the tenderloin each steak is only $3 &...

The staff was friendly and helpful. The store was neat and tidy and everything was easy to find. Then at check out they unload your buggy and scan your items for check out! You don't have to do anything until time to pay. While your items are placed in bags and into a cart for you. Then they follow you to your car and load your bags in your car so you don't have to!!! Great little grocery store...
