La Cabana Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Jena

I left a glowing review 2 years ago but I felt I had to change it. We pick up food every weekend through the drive through and this year every weekend we are missing something that we paid for. Typically, we are not given our rice and beans. I am seeing kitchen staff playing and talking a lot lately and am wondering if the manager needs to check on to go food before it is given to the customer. Staff is always very nice and we tip very well, but we want to get what we pay for without having to drive all the way back which we never bother doing. Might have to stop tipping in the drive through.

Its okay, the food usually is always great but I have to say the staff aren't so friendly and welcoming anymore. Our waitress kept leaving us alone without checking on refills of drinks or chips caught her texting at the stand by the door avoiding us even when we tried to get her attention we're not needy people or picky eaters she made us feel like we were a problem to be there. Use to love the old little place but this new atmosphere isn't what I remembered of this beloved restaurant. I guess all good things come to an end eventually. And sometimes bigger isn't...

I've eaten at many many Mexican restaurants and this one just doesn't compare. It's beautiful inside, the decor is great. Jake our waiter was the best part of the whole experience. He has to be the sweetest and most outgoing waiter I've ever had. He went above and beyond what he had to. The food was not at all as good as it looked. Presentation was great, flavor not so good. I don't know if it was just an off day for them or what, but it was a waste. The only thing I liked was the chips and salsa. May try again in the future, not...
