Incredible.
We are currently staying here during the whole flood ordeal and even with this whole situation the staff have been incredibly nice.
The room is very nice and clean. Our room includes two beds, a flat screen TV, a microwave, a refrigerator, nice and sleek bathroom, full length mirror, ironing board with iron, blow dryer, and a large sink. Although some other two bed rooms have a kitchen set, which I would recommend if you plan on staying longer. One bed rooms have the same things but also include a small two seat sofa.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, don't be scared to ask them for anything because they'll happily do it.
Some other things they also have is free breakfast which is pretty simple. For drinks they have cold milk, orange juice and a coffee machine where they have more options going from a mocha, cappuccino, and hot chocolate for kids. They also have two fruit choices which are apples and bannanas. For food it includes a pancake machine, bread, muffins (banana nut, chocolate, and blueberry), bagels, yogurt and honeybun's. Small take out menu's can be found in the dining area where you can order from Japanese, Indian, Chinese and Mexican restaurants to have them delivered to your room. The hotel also includes a washing machine and a dryer downstairs so clean your clothes as well as a grill area on the opposite side.
The location is also great, to the side of the hotel there is a meat market where you can go get food, either to eat at the hotel room or have it prepared for you in their small restaurant.
I would recommend this place if you want to visit Houston at a better time then right now because...
Read moreIf I could give it zero stars, I would. I arrived and paid $75 for a room. As soon as I walked in, I didn’t like it—it smelled weird, and there were strange stains on the furniture. I decided to turn around and go to the front desk to cancel the room and go to another hotel.
The rude manager said I couldn’t cancel, that I had to stay in the room and they wouldn’t give me my money back!
He said those were the hotel company’s policies! He told me I could leave if I wanted, but I wouldn’t get my money back! I mean, I didn’t even sit down in the room, not even 10 minutes had passed!
I asked the manager—who is also the owner—to show me the policy stating they don’t do refunds. He didn’t show me anything at all. I saw it later in the wall, before leaving. And to top it off, he was barefoot! Seriously? What kind of people are these? I will never come back here. What kind of rules are these?
What if an emergency had come up and I had to leave anyway? Would they still refuse to give me my money back? This is unacceptable. I will never stay at any hotel from this company again.
I had to stay that night just so I wouldn’t lose my $75. I left and came back later that night, and the magnetic key they gave me didn’t even open the door. A lady at the front desk had to come and open the door for us with a regular key. I mean, even the magnetic key didn’t work, and the place had absolutely no...
Read moreSome of the worst service I’ve had in a while. If you’re interested in the room with the kitchenette, save your money. You get the stove top and refrigerator, but no utensils, no plates, no bowls,no cookware, no glasses, no dish soap or sponge, or anything that you would need to use the kitchenette. You get empty cabinets. If you happen to ask where these items are so you can make use of the money you spent to get the kitchenette, you’ll be told it’s a “security risk” for them to provide these necessities. Room service came by while we were out for the day. They didn’t do anything but grab our towels and leave no clean ones in return. Didn’t make the bed, didn’t empty the trash. This was at 3pm. Tried to find out why this was the case, but was pushed past my limit by a guy working the main counter whose only known English was “room service” and “lunch”. No matter how many times or different ways I tried to explain what was going on, I got nothing. He couldn’t be bother to just get me some towels so my girlfriend and I could shower. He just stood there mumbling about room service and lunch until I just walked out and found the room service storage room and got the towels myself. Save yourself the hassle, the irritation and the money. Go somewhere else that’s...
