We stayed here for 3 weeks with my husband. First of all, we moved there from a terrible airbnb experience. Justine at the front desk was very accommodating and positive. Her kindness brought my happiness level up immediately and made me forgot about it. Thank you again Justine! You made everything better when we were there. I really appreciated that.
I decided to write a long review because it might be useful for people who need such accommodation like we did.
ROOMS: Rooms have 2 forks, 2 coffee pots, 2 plates and 2 soup bowls. You have some teflon pan and pot as well. I did not use them because I had my own. There is a dishwasher, stove. A can opener is also available. No water boiler or coffee machine. You can bring or buy one. We stayed at a 1 queen bedroom and it was nice. At which side of the hotel you stay makes a difference in the noise level. Also, how warm the room will be.
CLEANING: They clean the rooms each two weeks if you stay long, so you better get some basic cleaning tools like WC brush etc. New linens, towels cost 10 USD if you need new ones. Or you can wash (2 USD) dry (2 USD) detergent (1 USD) softener (1 USD) them yourself for 5-6 USDs n total. When we arrived our first room was very clean like it was barely used. When we changed we saw that the bathroom was a bit more dirty. In my opinion a better cleaning for the shower area is required. Also the toilet had some pink dirt in it. Using bleach can solve these. The cleaning ladies can do a good job on this.
LANDRY: They have a large guest laundry, it was fine. I suggested them to separate one washer for people who wants to wash things that belong to their pets. I saw many many many pet hair on the washers and in a cloth basket from a guest at the laundry. When you stay for a long time you need to wash your underwear's and I prefer not to use a washer that was previously contaminated in this way. It is not nice. I hope they will take my word on this.
COOKING: I suggest you to bring your kitchen tools to cook if you plan to stay long.
PERSONNEL: We stayed at 2 different rooms. First one was pretty clean and quite until the person next door started to yell and swear in the middle of the night. We changed our room the other day and Justine was there to help us to our luck.
LOCATION: If you have a car it is okey but in Houston there is no one who does not have a car so this must not be questioned.
OVERALL: I liked the place, some long term guests are very nice and kind and there was this yelling man who made me stay awake all night. Other than these it is usually silent, the bed is plush if you need a firm one for a long term stay it might not be the right one for you. I would go back to stay there. I dropped the 1 star because of the pet hair an the...
Read moreHotel is clean and rooms are clean and in good shape. The only complaint is with the assistant manager who is unprofessional and a bit petty. I had to calm her down so that she didn’t turn my questioning her on an issue into a full out argument. No one at front desk seems to know how to get small issues resolved without trying to reach the manager, who is never reachable (according to the person at front desk). We enjoyed our stay at the clean, reasonably priced hotel, but we will pay more next time at a different hotel for an overall better customer service experience. It really does make all the difference. Also, I needed to check out at 4pm one day and the lady let me know she’s charge me half a day for that late check out. The card that she tried to run was not the card that I was going to pay with so the card declined when she tried to run payment that day. When I tried to check back in, I was denied a room because of that and a couple of hangers that mistakenly came out with my hangers (that I am going to return this week). I asked front desk person why she could not give me an amount so that I can pay balance and Move ahead with my new reservation, but she could not or would not give me an amount. My family and I were denied a room at 11pm, tired and frustrated. Since that evening, I have been asking the assistant manager and another front desk person what do I owe so that I can give them a different card for payment. No one can give me an amount to pay the due amount. They both said they did not know and needed to ask the manager. I have never been denied a room in all my life, especially for issues as small as these. Not only was this humiliating in front of my family, but could have and should have been resolved for us to be able to check back in. We did not cause any trouble on the premises or anything worthy of denying us a room and them cancelling our new 2 week reservation. We stayed at this hotel for almost a month as our house is being built, but the affordability is not worth being treated this way over such small discrepancies. [Review collected...
Read moreStarted off well, until I asked why my room hadn't been cleaned. Each day, they said the next day it would be cleaned. Three days went by, and when I came home that night, I asked the front desk about it. That's when I was assaulted by a hotel staff member, who pulled my hair and grabbed me by my arm. I had never experienced anything like this ever. I was shocked, uncomfortable and feared for my safety. I had one night left in this hotel, which is the only reason I did not leave that night. I spoke with the manager (emailed immediately after) and in person the next day. There was no follow up. When I asked what happened, he said "Sorry we got busy..." I lost all respect for him at that point because he said he would follow up and did not. He stated that he saw the assault on video but it came down to their word against mine since there was no audio. How could that be, when clearly, you can identify your staff member physically assaulting me!! I filed a police report, and then all of a sudden, the video the hotel had, was damaged and they could no longer see us because what was left was a blind spot, even though this was right in the hotel's lobby. This incident was not handled well, I was treated unprofessionally, told at least 5 employees of this hotel and never got a return email response, follow up with the manager nor the corporate office. No staff member, under any circumstances should threaten to "kick a guests butt," or ever put their hands on them!!! Totally unacceptable how this hotel has covered up for that employee. Not worth one red cent to ever have to experience what I experienced. If you get hurt here or feel unsafe, no one will advocate for you or take you seriously. And on top of this very traumatic experience, it's right next to a major highway(noisy) and there was guests across the hall who kept smoking. Funny how the staff took the smoking in the room seriously but not the...
