I'm not going to lie to you and tell you this is the Hilton, because it isn't. It's got the old Florida feel to it, but it's perfect. The pictures uploaded do not give this place justice. The staff are amazing, friendly, and CARE about the property. EVERY DAY somebody was using a leaf blower, raking the beach, wiping down the tables, tending to the grounds, etc. I always saw SOMEBODY walking around doing SOMETHING! Anytime we had questions or needed something, they would stop what they were doing to assist us. I couldn't have asked for a better staff or place to stay.
Now, it's set up like a motel with multiple buildings. We stayed in Apartment 15, right next to the office. The front room has a kitchenette, dining room tablet, couch, TV, and bed. There is a small hallway with a closet and mirror that leads to the bathroom, and another small bedroom with a larger bed. We had a microwave, stove, sink, fridge with freezer (full size), silverware, and plates/cups. The only complaint is that the bathroom is tiny without any outlets, and there is no lighting in the shower. We also had a little porch with 2 chairs and a table.
The beach is of course man-made. There are several patio tables with tiki umbrellas hanging over it (with rope lights at night!). Several lounge chairs and Adirondack chairs. 2 paddle boards and several ocean kayaks to rent as well - FOR FREE! One day was so windy we could not take the kayaks out, but the next day we did and it was a lot of fun! The water was clean, clear, and warm for December. We saw pelicans, jellies, and coral.. no other wildlife. Unfortunately, everywhere in the area canceled all drives, snorkels, and glass-bottom boat trips, so kayaking and hiking is the best we got down there. We were tempted to stay at extra night, but didn't because of the lack of outdoor activities due to the wind.
There are plenty of restaurants around. Publix is 10 minutes up the road for groceries. They had several charcoal grills on the property so we ending up grilling burgers and steaks! The office has coffee, juice, and muffins every morning. There is a washer and dryer if you need that they charge for. Everybody staying there was quiet and friendly. Parking is whatever you can find nearest your building, but it's not like you have to walk far at all.
I HIGHLY recommend this place. Their online advertisements do NOT do enough justice. I was seriously so surprised and pleased when I arrived, that I wish I booked my entire trip here. I will absolutely be coming back, and I am telling friends and family that it's the perfect...
Read moreThis was a wonderful place for our family of 5! We stayed here for only 2 nights and wish we stayed longer. We booked with Robert a few weeks ago and he helped give us the best pricing. Our little apartment/house had 1 bedroom (king bed in the bedroom where the girls and I slept) my son and husband fit together in the Queen bed outside in the living room area with TV with sofabed couch which we didn't need to use for sleep, just sat on it for downtime in the evening before our sleep and that was perfect. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed and we were so thankful for the nicely stocked up kitchen (plates, bowls, cups, utensils, everything else including a scissor!) it was great to have a full large fridge to put a large ice cream in the freezer which lasted for our 2 nights! We had stopped by Sprouts in Homestead before coming to Seafarer to make sandwiches and to pickup that ice cream!
We arrived Tuesday afternoon (check-in with Guy was super easy and friendly) and enjoyed the beautiful views at their little beach area. Our girls and I were so happy to find some cute little seashells! We didn't do any of the free kayaking because we found some floaties and had more than enough fun on that alone. When I woke up early the next morning I ventured out alone and enjoyed some alone time on the hammock. We're from NY where it's freezing right now so to be out there in the calm warm weather was heavenly!
Breakfast by Linda was absolutely delicious and very comforting. We loved the small egg frittatas (both the tomato/spinach and the sausage ones were equally delicious) and the muffin selection was excellent: blueberry and chocolate were our favs. Orange juice was perfect with this nice little meal and we even took some out for the road trip to the rest of the Keys. We spent the rest of that full day in the Keys and came back too late but pleasantly surprised to come back to a cleaned up apartment with fresh towels. Then Thursday we had to checkout by 10:30am but enjoyed that yummy free breakfast one more time! We also met Mr. Lopez who owns the place and I hope he knows how much we loved it. Hope to come back to this special little place next time we come to the Keys!!! Thank you to your entire staff for helping to make our first stay in Florida Keys so...

If this was a $50 a night roadside motel I would rate it with 5 stars. But this is actually a $250 a night roadside motel so yeah, I was expecting a little bit more, to be honest, for the price.
Pros: Quiet and beautiful setting with access to the bay which is quite pretty Convenient location, just beside the road Clean room Available parking space for the rental car.
Cons: Check-out was at 10:30 am. Really!? 10:30 am? I miss the days where you could check-out at noon and check-in at 2 pm. Now it’s a 4 pm check-in and in this specific hotel a 10:30 am check-out. We were rushing ourselves trying to get everything ready as soon as possible when we heard loud irritated bangs on the door at 10:35. People were rushing us out of the place. RUDE… Uber small room, couldn’t even find a place in the floor to put the suitcases. No wardrobes, not even a chair or table in the room, very limited storage space. Hairdryer wasn’t in the room. Had to go rushing to the front desk to try to get (which I fortunately could) before the only employee available left, at 7 pm. Had I missed him, would’ve slept with a wet head.
In the end I couldn’t believe that I was paying $250 a night for such a simple, small and basic stay. The stay was ok, but this is a simple motel that should never be charging more than 60-70...
