I am honestly never one to write reviews or even check them but I have never had the most weird and horrible experience for me. We (3 people) booked in weeks in advance and we had car trouble getting here on time. We finally got there at 2am to check in, the man who greeted us was upset about our "Tardiness" but that was understandable. We booked the rooms and we called in advance to tell him that we would be late. He only had one room ready which thank goodness was the handicap one we needed for one of our group. Then he continues to say that the other room isn't ready and that he will escort me to my room and clean it up for me while my handicap person waits. It sent up a RED flag. We said that it was fine and we could wait together in the room. He said ok, he escorted us to the other room and we started unpacking things for that group member while he hung around outside. We were confused until he said that he wanted ME to come to the office with him then go to this room again. I said ok but then he told me that he wanted the ID of the person who scheduled the rooms and the card we wanted to use for pay. Apparently he told me that is what he wanted but I might have misheard so I run back. The male in the group asks if I feel safe going with him and I honestly wasn't. Things weren't adding up for me and I had to go with my gut. So we went to the counter together while our handicapped waited in the room. He paid for everything in three transfers instead of one big one and he suddenly says he has a room ready for us with two beds (only less than two minutes went by and he was the only one working). I find that strange but accept the offer. We finally deal with him and go to our rooms. There is a big hole in the ceiling (second floor is where our room is) and there is white painting just randomly on one wall in big dots. The floor looks like it is being remodeled and one of the dresser doors is missing. But we didn't care at this point because we were so tired...
Read moreGood budget motel if you need to crash for the night. At only $65 before tax, we were happy to get a good night's sleep here during a 14-hour (two day) road trip passing through oregon. My husband, toddler and I all slept well.
The neighborhood/environment is fairly typical for a budget motel. I didn't go into the front office but my husband had no complaints about service.
We appreciated the tub as it helped baby get relaxed and sleep good, even while we snuck around the room, eating our dinner etc! I didn't immediately figure out how to get the tub's plug to work but we stuffed a washcloth in and it worked just fine, so no big deal. They provided a nice slip-prevention mat for the bathtub and/or the floor outside tub, that was a life saver. Soaps and shower caps were also provided, thank you!
We liked the microwave as it enabled me to (using my own mug and teabag), make some tea. We appreciated the ice provided. And room had an ice tub, plastic baggie. The mini fridge appeared great but it wasn't plugged in when we arrived and we failed to double check it was working so our milk did go bad - I should note that there may have been an error on our part such as plugging in in wrong (perhaps) and we did not tell the staff about the fridge since we were already leaving by the time we discovered the issue. But I'd have just used the ice instead if I'd known.
As a bonus, the subway restaurant, taco time, and dutch brothers nearby provided us all...
Read moreI .was traveling and was attempting to book this online with my phone, on a 3rd party site.. The initial price was $125 around 7:30pm. I waited to to book thinking maybe I could make it further in my travels. When I went to rebook around 8:00 the price had gone up to $135. I thought ok, I waited and that's what happens. I push buy and some how it went up another $3. I asked about the price going up $13 in a short amount of time when I arrived and the receptionist stated that when they get busy, the prices go up. I counted 7 cars parked and it appears they have 25 units, so not even 50% occupancy. ||||Then I had a $3 charge that I understand was a "Covid Cleaning Charge".And because of Covid, they were not offering breakfast or coffee and the pool and hot tub were closed. Yet there was an ice bucket stocked in the room and the microwave||was available for use. At the height of Covid, ice buckets and microwave use was not permitted in hotels. Presently, pools, hot tubs and complimentary breakfast were available at the hotels I stayed at on this trip. So it appears that are not offering those things not because of true Covid concerns but to save money.|||||| Here's the breakdown if you are exhausted and need to stop: The room was clean but extremely dated with scratched furniture and a patched wall. The beds did not have a blanket on them, I guess you were supposed to use the bedspread only-yuk There is no security latch...
