The lady at the front said my tone was threatining because I was in a hurry to go to church, they opened my room while I was naked, tried to open it said it was policy to check rooms daily. The internet policies said nothing of this nature. Neither did my gmail where I recorded my call to motel 6 customer service to make a complaint so I could contact BBB if needed. I also told them we said we owned a declawed, inside cat that would get out, he's very quick. The ladies on the phone called and management told me I had to keep my animal under control at all times ...i said that why we got a hotel, my fiancee's family owns rvs sales place scenic roads rv and he travels a lot and we normally stay at motel 6, this is the first one that told us our cat should stay in a crate or in the bathroom at all times to keep him from getting out in case they come in. We have a week to rest up and not be bothered or told our cat had to stay in those conditions which I recorded the phone conversation just to make sure they knew this, I informed them and this is what I was told. I have never stayed anywhere without a do not disturb hang tag for the door, but at this one I was/am highly upset, I was late for church to deal with this issue. This was supposed to be a blessed Sunday of rest instead I'm dealing with a hotel chain that wants my cat in a crate at all times but says pet friendly and everyone gives me a run around on the policies, especially the daily inspection like I'm a criminal was a policy in my gmail account that was a lie, it says every 3rd day, so why treat paying weekly customers like this, they should be more worried about the people selling stuff out of there parking lot and hanging around than the people who like privacy and rest up and stick to their self . I asked could they replace my cat since he will surely die if they let him out since he's declawed. They said no, to lock him up. Is that pet friendly? I think not or seeing me naked when I said do not open door, getting up to answer this is why I record everything .I'm nice and so is my fiancee, but these big chains act like they can push people around with there self made rules. Not on website not in email so I was lied to asked for full remembersment so I could go elsewhere and actually get some sleep or a motel 6 they haven't seen my naked body at or have my cat in a crate. Tried to contact corporate asked that someone call me back because management here seems not to care about the people who stay here, fix the roach problem around carpet on air conditioning unit and keep solicitors out of the parking lot instead of bother people who paid 300$ little more or less just this week along out past couple months of only spent thousands with motel 6 I'd hate to switch to a extended stay area cause people have to be non appreciative of the good god fearing people who stay at there...
Read moreMotel 6 is, as a brand, is far from a luxury hotel. I know that. In the past when I have stayed at a Motel 6 the rooms were generally clean, comfortable, and I felt safe. This Motel 6 was FAR FROM clean, comfortable, and I did not feel safe. My husband had been staying in this room because he was on a cross country motorcycle trip and his motorcycle needed repair. He anticipated being there for at least 4 days. He was looking for a economical place to stay while his bike was being fixed. He was there Friday May 5 2017-Monday May 8 2017. He actually suffered a heart attack at the Motel 6 and was taken to the hospital on Monday May 8 by paramedics. He was to be checked out of his room on Tuesday May 9 but he was in the hospital so I tried to call the motel several times to explain what happened and the phone lines were not working. Finally I called the 800 number and spoke to a representative to explain what had happened to my husband and to make sure his belongings would stay in the room until I could get there from California. Please try to imagine my frustration, my husband almost died and is in the hospital and I could not reach the motel. My adult daughter was finally able to reach Rebecca and she arranged for us to book the same room for 2 more nights so I would have a place to stay when I arrived on May 9. This place was horrible. It was filthy, the smell of mold was overwhelming, and according to my husband the room had not been cleaned and the linens had not been replaced in the 3 days he was there. I came in late on May 9. I was extremely tired, I traveled most of the day from California to Tennessee and then was at the hospital with my husband. When I got to the room my first instinct was to find another place to stay but I was too tired. I "slept" with all of the lights on because I wanted to keep the bugs away. I saw both roaches and earwigs. The next morning I checked out at 6:00 a.m. and went to the Red Roof Inn. I know this location DOES NOT represent the typical Motel 6, but I will never, ever book with Motel 6 again. Finally, I called the Tennessee health department and filed a formal complaint. If you would like to discuss this review further you can reach me at the email provided. ...
Read moreThe customer service I received from Rebecca and Naya was excellent and the location grounds were as expected, clean and well lit not different from when we used to stay at this location often in the early 2000's. I was a little shocked to see blood smeared on the counter in the main lobby when I checked in. I brought it to Rebecca' attention and she said she was aware that it was there but had forgotten about it as she was there alone and was really busy (she was working very hard from what I observed and she was very nice). She cleaned it off and apologized.
The room (213) however was totally disappointing. There was graffiti written on the heater. There was also long brunette hairs on the floor in the main room, on the sink, bathroom floor and in the tub! The water in the shower was either scaulding hot or ice cold and we could not get it to stay at a reasonable temperature! And the toilet was absolutely disgusting with urine caked on both sides at the bottom that was yellowish brown and had to have been there for at least a month! No way housekeeping could miss that! The outer wells of the tub were equally filthy. We didn't notice all of this until the next morning as we checked in and went to do a few things in town before actually going into the room. I took pictures of the toilet, tub, and where there was hair and showed it to Naya the next morning. She seemed genuinely shocked and was very apologetic. She said she would bring it to the manager's (Angela) attention which she did and thought she may give us a certificate for our bad experience.
Angela apologized too but did not want to see the pictures. She only offered 50% off of our next stay with them should we return. I thought that was a bit inappropriate but I had a very long drive ahead and just said okay. She did not give me a certificate and I even asked if there was a reference number that I needed and Angela said no. I customarily make my reservations on line through my motel 6 account so I'm not sure how that will work. All in all, I used to live this location but not sure if I will...
