Super 8 by Wyndham Bellefontaine — Hotel in Lake Township

Booked for 3 nights...stayed only 2 nights. This place was a nightmare...from the moment I pulled into the driveway I was suspicious of the place. The landscaping was trashy. I went to the front desk which was a little window and the lady was very nice but she had to repair the printer before she could give me the paperwork to sign and then brought it to my room at 10 pm at night. I had to enter on the side at "DOOR #2" and there were all kinds of shady people sitting and standing around outside smoking. The room was sufficient and seemed a little updated but the handle on the chest of drawers was falling off, the toilet paper holder fell apart the first day and the ceramic tile in the bathroom was cracked and pieces missing. I thought for sure the toilet paper holder would be reported by the housekeeper and would be fixed immediately. The third day I went to the desk and reported it...it had not been reported. The hall was noisy with shady people running in and out to smoke. When I told the lady that the room and hallway smelled like smoke she said "no it doesn't". There was a little air purifier in the hall on the floor that ran continuously. She then said, "2 weeks before, that wing had been newly recarpeted and painted in all of the rooms to cover up the smell of smoke because it used to be a smoking section". The people staying there were constantly going in and out sitting and standing around smoking right outside of the entrance door, some half-dressed and in bedclothes. It looked like a homeless camp. Some men were waving and staring at me in my car. There was an abandoned car sitting right outside of the entrance door with flat tires that had been sitting there a while with debris around it. I actually asked strangers that I got acquainted with at the dinner restaurant to drive back behind me and walk me to the room. On the last evening one of the men with pajama bottoms, no shirt or shoes who was smoking at the door asked me if I wanted to buy some weed...that did it for me...I went in and packed and got out of there...I didn't even check out I left my room key on the dresser...I forfeited the $90 that I paid for that night. Yes, $90 each night with a senior discount...it was advertised for $64. A month before I paid $88 at the Hilton downtown Cincinnati. I have reported this to corporate and am supposed to hear back from them in 7 days...I want my money back for the night I...

There were bed bugs in my room. I squished it and blood squirted everywhere. I was very repulsed. I do have bites around my ankles. It’s very common for hotel rooms to be exposed to these types of pests, even the expensive hotels have increased risk. It does not mean the hotel is dirty. So I encourage people to always check your mattress prior to even bringing your stuff into a room. Take off the mattress cover and look for yourself. They shed skins as they grow, typical to have blood splotches along seams on mattresses, they leave itchy bumps when they feed. They also spread like wild fire and can hide in your shoes. It’s not a pleasant experience. I did call the Logan County health department to report my concern. Many people from the work site stay at this hotel and have the potential to bring these pests with them inside the work vehicles. I suggest if you have an experience with bed bugs. Document everything. If you have pain and suffering from the experience. (Bites, anxiety, medical bills, anxiety, property damages resulting from infestation) .. file a lawsuit.

I told the front desk about the issue politely. I asked for a refund and did not receive one. She was very sweet however and gave me a extra large trash bag to hold all of my stuff. I drove 2 hours home. I put all of my clothing in the dryer on very high temperature. I filed a formal complaint through the Wyndham customer support care team and am waiting on a resolution to be found. However if my home becomes infested I will be...

I had my mask on when I walked through the door the motel was kind of under construction when I come to the door I had an overwhelming sense of unable to breathe and a weird obnoxious smell that made me sneeze and cough I proceeded up the steps the second floor to where my room was as I'm going through I'm thanking God for all the many blessings that we have suddenly my husband laughed and he said to me he felt the need to walk them down the hallway and preach to all these people I said why they're already being stoned the place smelled like out of the world incense and the overcoming balance of marijuana would have knocked you over with a feather of a heavyweight it was more than I can handle I heard it into my room it had a couple of holes in the wall it looked like people have been there the door had was like a little crooked you can see from my room into the hallway it was a little weird but it was the only motel in the area on the internet the price was cheap at the motel it was double that who was I to complain they was nowhere else to go and it was cold outside sometimes people just take advantage on a recommendation the woman up front was very nice if she spend any time in the hallway that would explain it outside of that the only reason I would say to go here otherwise I wouldn't recommend it for you or your family may God bless you guys and I hope you're able to get your motel up and running in the best ability and hopefully the next time around it won't...
