The room I was initially assigned to on July 26th, 2025, room 207 was completely unsatisfactory. It stunk of smelly feet, BO, and of all the filthiness covering every inch of the room. The toilet nearly came off the wall, and slammed back against the wall when I got up. The sink was clogged with black sediments, the toilet paper roll was dirty, the toilet paper fixture was coming off the wall, the lampshades had a lot of dust on them, the chair was dirty and stained, and the tub had dirty stains. ||||Within an hour of trying to settle into the room, I reported the clogged sink issue to the front desk staff, and was informed that no one was available to address the issue at that time. He said it would be addressed the next day which was Sunday, July 27th. At that time, I was informed a clog treatment was performed, and to wait an hour before using the sink. After the sink remained clogged after an hour, I gave it more time, and returned to the front desk to request air freshener spray to cover the smell that was in the room. It was inneffective! Hours passed and by the next morning, the sink remained clogged. Monday July 28th, I reported the clogged sink to front desk staff again.||||After being in the dysfunctional and disgusting room for 2 days, with limited use of its amenities, they finally offered to switch my room Monday morning. They moved me next door to room 205 (from 207). I went to talk to the front desk after I moved my belongings to the new room, and told the same clerk (who checked me into the room), he was so wrong for giving me a dirty awful room when I checked in on Saturday the 26th of July. He said he had no idea that the room was in such a condition that it was in, but I honestly didn't believe him.||||I paid good money for this hotel and am extremely upset that your establishment does awful things such as this, which is to give a guest an awful and disgusting room. ||Which was why I was amazed with the the new room, 205 was a decent room with no problems. I had thought that all the rooms were unsatisfactory like 207. Apparently not, which is appauling, knowing that a clean and functional room was available while I suffered in 207 for over half my stay. How that wasn't the first option is beyond normal logic or consideration for your guest. ||||I would like someone to reach out to me to discuss this...

Read moreI stayed at this motel for one night as part of a quick trip to Chicago with family to do some sight-seeing. I am not a particularly picky person and I don't mind a solid 2-star Motel to save some money, especially since we would only be there one night. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I have had a motel. First, it was very difficult to turn into the parking lot and we were almost hit by oncoming traffic. When you see the building, you can tell it is older and needs some love, but that wasn't a deal-breaker. The front desk clerk was very polite and helpful (which is why they got at least 2 stars from me). Our room, however, had some pretty serious issues. The toilet seat was not properly attached, the bathtub drain was clogged. The towels were old and had that funk that towels get when they have reached the end of their use and need to be replaced. The sheets were stained. The floor was covered in black smudges and spots. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The fan in the bathroom was so loud it was almost painful. The drapes were worn with holes. It was pretty clear this room had been neglected. I am not sure if this is the case through the rest of the motel. As I stated before, I have stayed at budget 2-star motels in older buildings before, but always found them to be cleaned, fresh, well-maintained and ready for guests. This is one of the very few affordable hotel options in the summer. It is a shame that this is what families have to settle for when they stay here. I hope someone looks into this and the owners take the time to make some needed updates like new towels, sheets, drapes, and fix the maintenance issues. It would be such a cute little motel with just a bit of love and...
