I recently stayed at this hotel for a personal retreat and had a wonderful experience. The main lobby felt welcoming and relaxing from the moment I arrived. My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully styled with a blend of rustic and Victorian charm. I needed an extra desk lamp for reading, and the host was very accommodating and helpful, ensuring I had everything I needed. The Lincoln community was warm and friendly, which added to the overall positive atmosphere of my stay. I also enjoyed walking the nearby Fitness Trail – it was peaceful, quiet, and perfect for connecting with nature. This retreat was exactly what I hoped for, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a restful and refreshing getaway.

For someone who avoids boutique lodgings - this was an incredible experience! Room was clean, we booked directly with the front desk and she was a sweetheart. Checkin was smoothe, all necessities were clean and working. Convenient location in town. 10/10 recommend! Room is comfortable for 2 people that like each other. We stayed in a single queen room. Smelled and looked fresh and clean on arrival.

What a nice find as we drove my son to Canada for school. Great location to be before crossing the border and such a nice welcoming room after a long drive. Aside from the very clean accommodations, my favorite part was sitting on the quiet deck after dark and relaxing.

I had to change my arrival date by 2 days. As a result, I got an 'upgraded' room. So instead of $250 for 2 nights I had to pay $300. I needed handicap access and walk in shower. The parking lot is gravel. Hard to walk on when you have trouble walking to begin with. The entrance to the room was up 4 stairs with wide handrails that were barely grippable. The entrance was through a storm door to a 'sun porch' (with no furniture). The door would only open about 24" because it was blocked by a stairway leading to the 2nd floor. This is definitely not a 'handicap accessible' room. Once inside the room there was a king bed, a old style glider (mid century with horrible flower pattern on it, not a vintage one that would fit a 100 year old house) with foot stool, a table with coffee pot, 1 chair, 1 old night stand, a wall mounted TV and a fridge. No headboard, no closets, no luggage stands, no shelves, nothing, not even 2 chairs to sit at the table with. The bathroom is huge, but the vanity is very small and there is no place to put anything, and there are no grab bars. I had to use the ironing board as a table in the bathroom. They had hangers on the towel rack for your clothes. Someone decided that it would look good to sand portions of the hardwood floors and then throw a coat of poly on it. The result is horrible, they look awful. They should have sanded them all the way, stained them to make the color even and then put the poly on. It would have looked like a nice old house rather than a ratty cabin. The TV was awful, you couldn't get any major networks, nor could you find the cable channels we normally watch. Basic Spectrum with about 12 channels. We wound up watching reruns of shows we never watch. This room did not match any of the pictures they show on the website. It was awful. The worst part was the bed was the hardest bed I have ever slept on. It was like sleeping on the floor. It was awful. I was told that the owners had purchased the building this room was in last year and were renovating it. I don't understand why they didn't put decent furniture in it. I would not stay there again. The experience was terrible. To pay over $150 a night and not have a decent bed or even basic amenities in the room or breakfast, is highway robbery. I have found as I travel that mediocre is the flavor of the day and this one sure was. On my way home I stayed in a place that had a living room, bedroom, 2 TVs with full coverage, handicap bathroom with many grab bars, comfortable bed, pool, hot tub, free breakfast, etc for...

Tiny room, the description of the room says, microwave & fridge, there certainly is no fridge or microwave as the room was too tiny to fit them. Also, flat screen TV, what a joke, it was 15" at best. The photo's look nothing like the actual room. I walked in and had an asthma attack. The clerk informed me that she had to clean the desk chair in the room with a strong cleaner, this caused me to have an asthma attack. The only conclusion I had was, someone had an accident on this chair. She did not inform us before we went upstairs that she had used cleaner prior to our arrival. We checked in around 7:00 p.m. or a bit later, why would the cleaner be so strong at this time, as check in is much earlier & she said she left the door open. The A/C unit was not turned on, tiny black bugs all over curtains as you could see light coming through the cracks around the sliders for the A/C unit. The bugs were definitely the last straw. We wanted out. I need out! I needed air to breathe. I informed the clerk that we were leaving because of my asthma & I could not breathe because of the cleaner, she said just said, "o.k., sorry about that, I had left the door open after I cleaned the chair in the room with heavy cleaner as it was soiled". What soiled a chair that much that you needed to use a cleaner so strong that it was still this strong at 7:00 p.m.? This was the worst part of our trip! We decided to cut our trip short & leave for home immediately. With not having a hotel after 7 p.m. & taking over an hour in the Walmart parking lot to be able to breathe properly, we decided that Lincoln and the rest of our trip was not going to happen. We drove home that night. I do not feel that we should have to pay for this room, as it was not our fault that the cleaner was used. With the allergy alerts on the rise today, she should have removed the chair from the room instead of making it impossible for us to stay. I will never book this hotel again, and I feel we should be refunded in full for the room, after all, it is not my fault that a heavy cleaner was used prior to my arrival. We were only...

First of all, we were not located in the facility identified in the picture. We were located adjacent to the Inn which would not have been a problem--BUT, the renovation was not complete in the old house we stayed at. There were bugs everywhere--inside and out. The room had not been cleaned/checked prior to our arrival. My husband actually cleaned the spider webs/dust from the lamps, AC/heater unit upon arrival. The dresser literally had significant food (or something) remnants in the drawers. The basement was being worked on, minimally closed to the outside with a loose tarp, and you could see the basement lights through the floorboards. Bed was not comfortable and only 1 lightweight blanket was available. The exterior was dimly lit with no walk leading to the entry door--had to walk across the rutty lawn. The street was very busy and noisy. Never interacted with the owner/staff as no one was ever available--keys were left on a public counter in the main bldg in an envelope with my name/room# on the outside and the key was returned to a box on the counter upon leaving. This is a terribly unsafe practice for the guest--anyone could grab any key, unlock the door, return the key, return to the room and wait; the guest would be unsuspecting/unknowing. Very very unsafe.|For perspective, I have traveled extensively all over the world for work and personal over the last 40+ years staying at different types of hotels and B&B's--all categories all ratings--I have never before left...
