I have been to Gather for breakfast several times since it’s opening. I find it to be a much-needed addition to our small town and am grateful it exists. The restaurant is clean and the interior is quaint and well-decorated. I especially appreciate the vegetarian options on the breakfast menu, as they are hard to find locally.
However, I have noticed a slight decline in the quality of the food, particularly with the home fries. It seems like they may have been overcooked on my most recent visits. Additionally, timely coffee refills are important to customers and should be a priority for the staff. Their breakfast prices are reasonably priced but I do find the lattes to be a bit overpriced for what you receive.
I also want to note that I have not had the opportunity to try Gather for lunch, as none of their seasonal sandwich or handhelds menu offers vegetarian options. This could potentially be a missed opportunity for attracting more clientele who follow a meatless diet.
Overall, while Gather may not be the most amazing restaurant I've ever been to, it is a great option for the community of Lincoln. I am writing this review in the hopes that the restaurant will continue to improve and thrive...
Read moreGather Brunch and Bar is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a truly satisfying breakfast or brunch experience. This place is a hidden gem, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment our dishes arrived, it was clear that freshness is a top priority. Every element tasted vibrant and thoughtfully prepared. The standout, without a doubt, was the Pork Belly Benedict. It was simply impeccable. The pork belly itself was cooked to perfection – thick, tender, and bursting with flavor, providing a delightful contrast to the perfectly poached eggs and rich hollandaise. Equally impressive was the Steak and Egg Bagel Panini. This dish was amazing, offering a fantastic blend of savory steak, egg, and a perfectly toasted bagel. The freshly carved fruit on the side, adding a refreshing element to the meal. Don't forget the coffee! The latte was an absolutely perfect crafted beverage that complemented our meal beautifully. You won't be...
Read moreIf you are hungry, don’t go. If you think you will be hungry in the next 2 hours, that’s the time to go. We waited almost 1.5hrs for our food, and after we waited 45min they came to say the kitchen messed up and would have to redo all the food. Never apologized or offered to discount anything, even a courtesy sweet tea. Instead, they nickeled and dimed us when the bill came. They charged us for sausage gravy we never received on French fries for 6 dollars. We ordered 2 for 6$ hotcakes per their menu, instead it came out to almost 9 dollars a pancake. I asked her why, she said it’s how she rang it up in the system. I repeatedly told her you guys said 2 for 6 on the menu plus added chocolate chips for 1.50 (which is also ridiculous) she asked her manager about it and no one cared to adjust the price. Again, no apology and a bill for 5 people 125$ Very cute place, but sadly no hospitality....
