I've been in lincoln since April and stayed in 3 hotels, this one the longest since I arrived. The place is surprisingly quiet with the interstate a stones throw away.
For anyone who is looking for a hotel to stay at for a couple nights in town I would not recommend the Woodspring suites. This is a Budget EXTENDED Stay hotel. There is people like myself who have been here for months, some even years. Housekeeping doesn't clean your room everyday and your responsible for a majority of the cleaning. They don't supply utensils or anything like that. You can get Garbage bags, towels & other basic amenities from the front desk whenever you need.
The Staff is very friendly & helpful. Whenever I need new sheets, toiletries, towels or garbage bags they're more then happy to assist. They let me know when my mail is here.
All and all it has been a very enjoyable experience. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who is coming into town for business and needs a long term, affordable solution to renting.
Cons - Opening the windows. By law they have stoppers on the windows that will only allow you to open them a couple inches which makes it rather pointless.
It's very hot in my room. Right now it's Negative temperature outside and I don't run my heat because of this.
I stay on the 3rd floor and I'm considering moving to the 4th floor because the people above me walk on there heels. I've had that problem since I first started staying here and it wouldn't be that bad except its 24/7!
Only other issues is the elevator is EXTREMELY slow. I once watched a lady press the button and I was able to make 2 trips to the office using the stairs before she finally got on and rode it down.
Take your laundry to a laundromat if you stay here. The hotels is extremely overpriced!
My biggest issue is the internet. Even paying the monthly fee it's still very slow and only works half the time. I hope they get away from there current provider and switch to something more...
Read moreRoom cleaning service intervals 2 weeks. No bathing soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and only one extra roll of toilet paper. Two pillows for one bed. No plates or kitchen items other than a stove top. Ice trays provided only. No couches. Just a table and plastic cheap chairs. Smelled like a smoker room. Had to purchase shampoo, conditioner, soap and ozium air cleaner. Other friends rooms smelled foul as well. Clean linens provided with additional cost. Save your money and do it yourself. Get what you pay for here. Ordered for a week and we're told we would've gotten a no show fee since we didn't check in on the exact date even though it was booked for a whole week. Prepare for hidden fees and zero breakfast. Building noise insulation is beyond cheap and floors feel like a 100 yr old building. More than likely built at the cheapest of ways. Parking is also tight and not trailer friendly. Trailers will need to be parked on the streets.
UPDATE: Reading owner's review and you can see they only have solutions to the kitchen hardware and linen service, but zero solutions on the smell of the rooms, breakfast and parking. The smell IMHO is by far the easiest to look into. Go have a sniff. Possible cleaning of the filters on the wall mounted air conditioners? Or get some Ozium cans and sanitize the rooms before anyone...
