Amigos/Kings Classic — Restaurant in Lincoln

I’ve been coming to this location weekly for about a year now. I’m in Lincoln every Sunday night for work and fell in love with Amigos but have found there is no consistency!

I ALWAYS order the enchilada dinner with chips. For a long time, I was never charged additional for chips. Then all of a sudden, they started charging extra. Next few times I was told that chips are included in the meal price and that it’s not an extra charge. All of a sudden they are charging additional for chips!

It’s not that the $1.00 will make or break me but the fact they can’t figure out what to charge. I was charged the additional last night and told the guy that for the last few months I have never had to pay additional. He argued then proceeded to tell me they just raised all their prices.

It’s a shame that a company has such an awesome product or service and one untrained employee can ruin it for a good repeat customer. Won’t be...

Went to use a $2 off coupon (#86) for regular nachos on 4/26/22 at around 9:45 pm.

“Peter” (if that was his real name) charged me full price. Didn’t realize this until I was about to pull out of the lot and looked at the receipt. I came back through the drive thru and told him that he charged me full price. “Peter” glibly claimed he forgot to hit the coupon button and then said nothing. After a few moments of silence I said, “well, I still want the $2 off.” He then claimed that he wasn’t authorized to do a refund and I’d have to come back in the morning. I complained in very strong terms about this and he told me that I don’t have to come to Amigos anymore.

We stopped here for their warm munchkins/donut holes. To the peeps from Illinois, they make these fresh on order and not just pick and choose what's on the rack made some years ago. These smell like sweet freshly baked goodies just out of the oven or frying pan in this case. They melt in your mouth and the glazed ones come in a dipping sugary syrup. After we ordered our first dozen, we could stop at that and when for 2nd and 3 dozens finally. Absolutely stunning. Highly recommend all to give it a try, you will thank me later. All the staff were kids from high school or so Service was friendly but slow. We loved our experience here with only the donut holes. I am sure the other stuff they offer must be...
