The best part, I just talked to the Manager of Lindsay Inn- He said go ahead, put a bad review online-he even suggested to put them on Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Booking, One bad review will not hurt him.. Even wished me good luck getting a refund. Liars!!If I could give them a 0 stars, I would. I reserved a room for my brother because my 87 year old Father went to the hopital. My Brother does not have a credit card to reserve a room. When he got to the Lindsay Inn, they asked for the credit card the reservation was made with- problem is, I have it about 60 miles away. Lindsay Inn said they could not let him stay without showing the card. They also told me they could cancel the reservation because he did not have the card to show and he could not stay in the room(the reservation was made in his name). So my 87 yr old Father was in the hospital and my Brother spent the night in his truck. And Lindsay Inn charged me for the room, even though they said on the phone they could cancel it. I called to ask for a refund, they refused to give me one. They don't care about any family emergency, an elderly person in the hospital, or if someone has to sleep in his truck for the night-- All they care about is taking your money.... Read moreOne of the most disgusting and rude places my family and I have ever been too. At arrival we were greeted by a quaint little inn near the casino. When we went inside the reception area it smelled of rat poison, something which we overlooked, the man at the reception desk gave us our keys and told us where our rooms were. We went to our rooms only to be mortified that they gave us a room that someone was STAYING IN. We went to change our rooms, which the man at the reception desk gladly did.Once again we went to our new room, only to be greeted by COCKAROACHES! ONCE AGAIN, we went back to the reception desk, to which we were met by a staled faced receptionist. We decided to try to cancel our stay, to which the receptionist said, “you have to cancel your stay by 48 hours.” That is totally fine by us as we explained to the man that we had only booked the hotel less than 2 hours prior. When we said that to the receptionist he simply repeated that we had to cancel by 48 hours and mockingly said, “Do you know what that means, dude?” At this point my family and I were frustrated, exhausted, and infuriated. We continued to bicker with him for about 10 minutes asking for a refund to no avail. We ended up leaving and getting a refund through the booking site we used, who swiftly reimbursed...
Read moreAfter an unfortunate circumstance booking the very worst choice of hotel in Gainesville, I found the Lindsay Inn online. Open pulling in, it was clear that the business is family owned and very well loved. The rooms are clean, the energy is welcoming, comfortable and protective. The beds are not too soft and not too firm. In fact, channeling goldilocks, they're just right. They have all the necessary amenities a room could offer. Even humor! (there is a note depicting guest's love for the room's belongings and what the items cost should one choose to depart with them 😂 all phrased in an upbeat and joyful humor). The family was ready and willing to accommodate me and my mother even though it was nearly 1:00am when we arrived (after the aforementioned horrors). I instantly felt the loving energy of the place and it was very inviting. I think, perhaps, my absolute favorite thing was the pleasant surprise of organic hair and skin products (shampoo, conditioner, soap etc.) they've chosen to supply their guests with.
I've never experienced this level of love in a hotel before; I was blown away. You can very much feel the love the family pours in to their business. 10/10 would stay again. It is worth the...
