Where to start !! We arrived and no one was at the desk, we waited ( it was about 8 or 8.30pm and we were tired from traveling. The young lady arrived and was very apologetic and I told her, it's ok. No worries. I asked her about coffee in the morning or a coffee cup in the room and she 'appologized' but declined on all, no coffee machine on ground or in any room. No breakfast at all! NO coffee machine in the Room at all ! We knew we had a dog fee, were were traveling with dogs, normal its a 20 fee... well this was 25 dollars per dog. We had 2 dogs, it came to 27.50 each ... it got taxed !! Separately from the Total taxes after I paid it we got taxed again at the end. By mistake she overcharged us another third pet fee and after appologizing, she took the third charge off. It still came to over 180 dollars when I booked and paid online for 130 !! I could have went to a better hotel with Coffee for much cheaper ! The room was ok clean, I bring sanitizer and wipe everything down and the wipes were pretty dirty. There were only a couple big towels and a couple wash clothes and NO hand towel at all. The Fan over the stove was ON all the time, I could not turn it off at all. You could turn it high or low, but not OFF. It was very annoying all night long to listen to that fan noise.
So things were a bit misleading, because we thought we get breakfast with our stay. If I would have known that this was a hotel like it was , I would have never booked there. Because I could have gotten a cheaper room somewhere else with coffee. I will never stay at another extended stay again. This will not happen to me again. But there were more issues than just this.
The very bad thing about this was .............. We had a room key . So at 6.40 am I got up and went one mile down the road to Dunkin Donuts to get coffee for us and I could not enter the room with my door key anymore ! I had to knock over and over on the door. My friend went out with the dogs to walk the dogs in the morning before we packed and. she also could not get in the door. The check out time was 11 am and the front desk was Shut down with a metal roller ( like a window treatment out of metal ) as soon as we checked in and when we left it was still all closed ! No staff at all there !!! None !!! So thank god I was in the room but what is up if we would have traveled alone and went to walk the dogs we would have not been able to enter the room at all !!!! NO staff there ... the room key not working because it was our day to check out but it was 7 am in the morning NOT 11 am !!!! Very disturbing !!!!!!! Very very disturbing !!! Also the water flow in the bathroom was very low and the sink was not draining very well. The bed, the mattress was very slanted. It was not straight. I laid in bed and almost rolled off because the mattress was literally high on one side and went downhill !!! Not very good night sleep because of this. So getting locked out of your room before 11 am when you want to load the truck /car or walk the dog before packing is very very disturbing !!! No staff at all around. It was literally...
Read moreMy wife needed to be away from the kids in a quiet place to finish preparing for her board exam. We looked for a close by hotel she could stay in for 2 or3 weeks and found this place. I’m not here to talk about the smell of smoke and weed most of the time or the time there was no WiFi for a whole evening, my wife was there doing her prep work mostly ONLINE mind you, or your casual loud guest fights from adjacent rooms. No I’m not here to talk about that, I’m here to talk about two hotel employees who couldn’t care less. Let’s start with the manager, I think his name is Will - not sure thou, who could not have been ruder, he just hates his job and lets it out on the guests!! First time I interacted with him was when I visited my wife and went down to inquire about a frying Pan she asked for two days earlier and still didn’t get one, he just went off for minutes on end talking AT me, grunting about how he lost 20 pans and guests not returning them, not once did he raise his head to look at me, not once. Now am I really interested in his problems, needless to say my wife stayed there for 3 weeks and never got the pan. From then on after that friendly encounter all I got from him was cold angry stairs the few times I stopped by to check on my wife. He one time tried to enter my wife’s room without knocking while she was in there, luckily she had the door latch secured, when confronted he swiped it under the carpet claiming he thought he was entering a different room. Them comes check out day!!! Although I paid her balance in advance, he slammed us with an extra $139, claiming he didn’t know how it was not calculated from the start. He even refused to get a hold of the employee that I made the payment to when checking in or hear my side of the story. I’m sorry but if you or your employee messed up, don’t make the customer pay, he was rude, obnoxious and just treated us with such disrespect and to add salt to injury billed us more than what we owe. The other employee is a front desk person, I’ll update my post about him at a later time, when I have time, heads up his name is Bradly.
I’ve filled a phone and online complaints, and waiting to be contacted within 24/48 hours. Already 24 hours have pasted, I’ll update with...
Read moreI stayed in one of the kitchenette suites due to needing an extended stay for a month. The staff members were all a pleasure to work with and if there was an issue, it was resolved instantly. They provided dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker and even a toaster for the room. Due to COVID I was unable to utalize the breakfast but in my situation, that didn't make a difference since I had the kitchen. The laundry room was open 24 hrs which was extremely convenient with my work schedule and they always had quarters to provide change. The room and all other areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained. It was also a big plus that the hotel was pet friendly. Although my dog is a service animal and travels with me every where, the fact they provided poop bags allowed me to properly clean up after him even when I would sometimes forget to grab one of my own. I would highly recommend this location to anyone needing a 1 or 2 night stay but even more for extended. I will however say they need to improve the internet service. I had originally planned on staying another month or possibly 2 but the speed needed for my work VPN was not able to be accommodated. After working with a customer service rep for the provider, there was nothing that could be done and it's the reason (and only reason) I had to change hotels. In my opinion, that has no relation to the location itself and should be resolved with the corporate office. Lastly, I do have one suggestion I would give as an extended stay guest. It would've been nice to have an outside seating area to enjoy the weather when it was nice out. Other than that, everything was great. It was a very cozy environment, quiet (which is difficult sometimes to find for hotels) and all expectations I had for a temporary home were not only met but were greatly surpassed. Great job ESA-Lisle! Will, Morgan, Eric and any I may have missed - if I am ever again in the area and need a place to crash, I will be sure to stay at Extended Stay...
