First of all, I would like to say that the negative reviews with the complaint that there are no pots and pans are just silly. Intown Suites, as a chain, is for temporary housing, and for business travelers like myself who float around the country 300 days a year. I stay a week here, two weeks there, sometimes a month. People like me, and people that are between housing are familiar with the brand, and we already know it is like moving into a vacant apartment. I travel with pots, pans, silverware, even my own toaster and coffee maker. Intown Suites isn't a vacation resort. Intown Suites guests are mostly working people who need a clean, comfortable place to stay a few weeks before moving on to the next job. For what people like me need, Intown Suites is a real value. I don't need free breakfast, a pool, or even a nifty lobby with a sofa and a flat screen. What I need is a place where I can cook my food, do my laundry, sleep, and be left alone. Intown Suites provides all of that for me, and the management doesn't put up with any guff from unruly guests that disturb the peace. I always feel safe at Intown Suites. I probably spend 30 weeks, or more at Intown Suites across the country, and it is the most consistent chain in the business for traveling business people and workers. Joe, the manager of the Intown Suites in Downers Grove is fantastic. He cares about every guests stay, and you can tell his concern for his guests and the care of that property are his priority. He took very good care of me, and his staff were always friendly and helpful. I worked late one night and my key had not been updated for another week, so I was locked out. The office at all Intown Suites are closed by 7pm, and closed all day Sunday. I rolled in at 11:30 pm, and the courtesy officer was happy to come down and renew my key, and hand me my receipt for my online payment. I don't just mean he was doing his job, he had a warm smile on his face and he was genuinely glad to see me. I would occasionally pop down to the office for a delivery of work supplies, or to check for messages, and Joe always asked me how my day was that day. As a person who works alone 7 days a week, 14 hours a day, I don't think 8 to 5er's who work 5 days a week in the same town every day will ever understand how much guys like me appreciate someone, anyone just asking how are day went. I never smelled weed or smoke. There was never obnoxious kids running around the halls unchecked. No yapping dogs, or loud parties. Just a perfect, peaceful place for me to sleep, get some work done, cook a meal, and maybe watch some TV before bed. The only thing that would make Intown Suites better, is if the internet was faster, but what do you expect, it's free. Update I've returned to Intown Suites Downers Grove and stayed another week for work. The only thing that's changed is some of the rooms have been updated. I had a choice of an updated room or a room that hadn't been updated. The price difference was about $50 a week. The new rooms are nice, fresh and warm feeling, but in my opinion not worth $50 more. There aren't any features that give added value to a guest. It's just some new furniture and carpet. Something I would consider maintenance. The functionality of the room isn't improved and the older rooms I chose was just as super clean as always. Joe, the manager, was still there and actually remembered me from years ago. Aside from an option of a freshly updated room, nothing has changed. I had a great stay, and will return next time I am in...
Read moreThe staff conspire with patrons to harass those they perceive as undesirables which is bizarre because there are people walking around here , many, likely suffering from serious character pathological disorders and they are many. From the day I stepped in here all I got were patrons suggesting perverse fantasies and talk outside my door about the alleged mistakes I made in my life dating back over thirty years and a law enforcement in many parts of Illinois and America that repeatedly prove how corrupt they are and no....I refuse to have anything to do with your merry band of corrupt thugs in many cases. Your tainted, folks. There is discrimination espoused by many that should take a look in the mirror and minorities especially for some strange reason sought dominance over me coming by my room and expressing what a degenerate fool I am. Really...in places like this I remain supremely reclusive. The place is hell and I would never bring a minor...

I know someone entered my room and helped themselves to an expensive hair product.
