Yesterday, I was tasked with finding a bed for my uncle. I had no idea where to start and luckily happened upon a mattress firm store across from where I had been shopping all morning. I decided to stop in just to ask some questions about the free adjustable base promotion I’d seen online. Eric introduced himself after my sister and I entered the store. Although he was the only one working, and had another group to work with, he did a great job balancing and assisting us all. I let him know what we were looking for and the budget for my uncle’s bed. He asked the right questions and we were able to narrow things down to two choices. My uncle has a hard time with mobility and Eric was able to encourage him over the phone to come try the beds out so that we could make the best decision for his purchase. Eric’s calm and respectful demeanor made this possible. As it turns out , my uncle loved one of the top choices we’d made with Eric’s help. Eric was upfront about prices , respectful of the budget, and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He knew things about bedding and sleep positions that I’d never know. The entire process was very positive , much more so than other experiences I’ve had in other furniture stores. I never felt pressured and I felt as though Eric truly had my uncles best interest in mind. Aside from all of this, Eric had supreme customer service skills. I teach customer service classes at work and review survey scores so customer service is of the utmost importance to me when making purchases. Eric covered it all. He was empathetic , understanding , a clear communicator , and set all expectations clearly. My sister was so impressed that she now is considering a new bed. Read moreDoing my happy dance right now thanks to John, who assisted me 2x in my quest to find the right bed for my 10 year old daughter. Unfortunately, he was not there the first time that I went there for two twin beds. Beds brought and delivered and I was not aware, for a week (due to moving) that I could not even move the beds to put sheets on. The top mattress came sliding off the box spring, but that was not the worst. In fact, one of the beds slanted and I WAS ANGRY! I came back to the store, absolutely fumingI was ready to write the worst review EVER There sat John, who was able to quietly calm me (a therapist). How did he do this? He did it first by letting me ventilate and by listening, then he proceeded to tell me that there were options. He showed me other beds, but then explained that the policy is to wait 30 days after buying a bed, again I was upset, again he calmed me down. Finally, I called again later, only 2 1/2 weeks into the 30 days. John intervened for me after I was in tears because my child could not even sleep in her room. He spoke to someone and was able to get the policy waived. I CANNOT believe the way he assisted me. My daughter's birthday is Friday, so he was able to even get delivery for THAT day. Read moreSo i was looking for a mattress because my old one was way too soft for me. I filled out the survey online to find the right one so i went to the store to test it out. I was looking for medium firmness and the one at the store was just right. When i bought it and took it home, i let it expand for over 72 hours and laid on it was way too soft. I even had two of my siblings test it out and they said they would toss and turn from how uncomfortable it was. It was softer than the one i had before and had trouble sleeping due to sinking in so much. Not only that, the corners of the mattress didn’t even fluff up how they are supposed to. I went in store to work something out with chris but i was told it was $250 to exchange or return. In my opinion its best to just shop with someone else, looks like these guys are just money hungry. Gary and Mike were cool but i just think its not fair that my mattress was faulty and had to pay $250 for a return. Ended up returning since i was going to pay $250 for an exchange and went to COSTCO. I purchased one for the same price at costco (Nova form advanced 14in) and it was actually medium firmness and slept really well. On top of that this $400 dollar costco mattress feels way better than the $1000 mattresses they were trying to make me buy.
