Absolutely Disgusting – Avoid Room 20 at All Costs! I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Seaclub1 Resort – Room 20 was so bad, I feel obligated to warn others. From the moment we walked in, the room reeked of mildew and neglect. It was immediately clear that basic cleaning had been completely ignored. Dust was caked onto surfaces like it had never been wiped not just overlooked, but never touched. The air conditioning vents were surrounded by black mold, making it difficult to breathe and honestly a serious health concern. The bed linens were stained and looked like they hadn't been changed in weeks, if not longer. I wouldn't be surprised if they were just remade from the last guest without even washing. The worst part? I woke up covered in bug bites, likely from bed bugs. Completely unacceptable and deeply disturbing. This room felt more like an abandoned storage unit than a resort accommodation. For the price we paid, this was a complete scam. Stay far away from Room 20 and maybe the entire property unless they do a serious overhaul. Zero stars if I could.

The best vacation spot on the beach. They have that old Florida charm, with a perfect location. You literally can see the beach from our room, and we were maybe 30' from the pool. Our bungalow had 2 outdoor decks, with clothesline in the back for our swimming gear. The front is a row of more affordable efficiency apartments with 1 and 2 bedroom units along the side. All are decent. I had no idea that the beaches on Longboat Key were this nice, but never crowded. Only 2 minutes to Harry's for the world's best breakfast burrito. Publix very near with reasonable prices. Close to Coquina Beaches and market. Close to City Island with Mote Aquarium and New Pass grill and bait shop. Close to Lido Key and St Armond's Circle with all of John Ringling's art, and fine dining. Easy access to downtown Sarasota and Jungle Gardens and not too far from SRQ Airport. Staff was very friendly and rooms complete with YouTube flat panel TV, ample kitchen, etc. This hidden gem is worth the trip in and of itself. We plan to return many times.

This place is old school Florida--- that's what I love about it. Small, private, clean; it's not modern, it's not luxury. But it has an adorable charm that you just can't get in these big giant condo buildings they put up these days. This has a small court yard with a pool and gas grills, each unit faces the pool. The beach is only a few steps away. Seating in front and back of #22. Love, love, love this place. Downsides: Wi-Fi is not good, no shade on beach- bring umbrella. Bring beach towels also, they're not provided, chaise lounges are provided though. Beautiful, relaxing white sand, turquoise water.

I am actually responding to the review given about a month ago - giving a 1/5 status from Jeep Creed. They started out saying 'Lisa, the property manager' - Correction, I am the property Manager, Christine Bushman and husband Bill, who was out of town at the time of the guest stay. Our business card listing us as managers is located on the office counter. Continued on to state they had 8 units. We are only a 24 unit resort and typically are unable to accommodate larger groups in order to make everyone's stay a rewarding one. This group however booked the majority of the units individual. I was aware that 3 of the units were together (not a problem) - but then 5 more were booked. As I'm sure everyone is aware, when you have larger groups, on a smaller property, the group tends to overtake areas, making other guests stay not so enjoyable. We did get complaints in regards to this during their stay. Basically the guests 'bad' review of my assistant Lisa (who by the way has been here for 9 years) knows how to handle her duties and it was the 'guests' who just didn't like rules. Rules as everyone knows, makes for a safer more enjoyable property - there is a 'towel time' for exchanging by 2pm, however in the review, guest stated he/she was turned away at 4pm - NOT TRUE - Lisa did exchange the towels even though it was late. Also stated that the 'visitors' that they wanted to come visit, couldn't - Once Again - NOT TRUE - Lisa, gave the visitors a parking pass to park out front. We have only 2 extra spaces on the entire property for visitors, if there are spaces, remember - people do go shopping, out to eating, exploring, etc - but they come back and would like a spot to park, since they pay to stay here. As far as keeping track of guests in units, it’s our job to make sure the units are not overloaded (condo units - all individually owned) - so again, doing her job. It was not mentioned that some of the units were booked with incorrect occupancy??? And the owners are allowed to state how many people are allowed in ‘their’ unit. As for the count on the pool, there is only a 17 person capacity, and this group was over 17 people, so again we have to watch, or the county can shut the pool down - not good for the other guests. All in all this was not the property for this group, obviously - but as we say "there is a place for everyone" - this group will have to look elsewhere in the future, which of course they agree to. For everyone else - just read between the lines, check out all the reviews and you will see that we keep a safe, well maintained property. Thank you Lisa for doing your job while Bill and I are away, we along with our returning guests appreciate you!!! FYI - I did actually give this review a 4 - because we are not...

Lisa, the property manager, was a complete tyrant on a monumental power trip. If you’re looking to escape the micro-management of your normal 40-hr work week, please keep looking for another place to stay. Our group had 8 units rented here and were expecting a nice family-style vacation. Lisa essentially stalked us. Calling us if kids were seen coming out of rooms where “no kids were registered” (they were visiting other rooms in our party where children were properly registered), coming down to the beach to “remind us to bring our chairs up” (no previous violation to warrant this), conducting pool counts to see if the maximum capacity was exceeded (it wasn’t), etc. If you want new towels in your room (and ONLY your room - room towels are NOT allowed at the pool and absolutely admonished on the beach - and TRUST me, Lisa would know if a towel (or an unregistered child) left the room)... ok, back to the towels, you have to turn dirty towels in by 2pm to get clean ones. A 4pm attempt for towel-exchange was met with refusal. So do make sure to plan ahead (and come in from your beach day if necessary) to get clean towels. On Sunday of our stay, we had a few friends (a couple and their two young kids) come to sit on the beach with us for the day. We asked if we could get a visitor pass so they could park their car in the parking lot for a few hours (mind you, the parking lot was half empty). Lisa advised that visitors on the property were not allowed. When we explained they were only going to be sitting out on the beach with us for a few hours, she advised that they were still considered “visitors” because they would be using the bathroom and the toilets “cannot handle their flushes” (note: the visiting kids utilized their diapers and the visiting adults relied on Mother Nature (the ocean) for their toiletry needs). If I would have known the toilet reliability was that iffy, I would have never considered this place and if flush capacity is a top priority amenity for you (or if customer service means anything at all to you), book elsewhere. On the day I was leaving, I checked out on time, and Lisa asked for our parking pass back, we obliged and told her we were going to stay a few hours out on the beach with the remainder of our group (who were staying 5 more days). Lisa advised, once we checked out, we had to leave the property. There are many, many more examples but I don’t wish to spend any more time with sea club one... neither on future visits to LBK nor on...

The beach is beautiful. The marine life is stunning. The grounds are spotless and lovely. Ocean view grills are a nice touch. The picture window in the unit is large and provides a nice view. Big sigh here...UNIT 50 needs attention. The walls, light switches, remotes, and floors need a good cleaning.Thank goodness we brought Clorox wipes and Lysol spray. Live and dead bugs in the unit. We live in Florida, bugs aren't going away, but if the unit is being properly cleaned the dead bugs would be vacuumed up and scrubbed off the walls. The mop and broom in the unit were dirty and full of other people's hair. The air conditioner is extremely loud and blows directly on the bed.The bed itself needs to be replaced. The scratchy brown blanket provided was terrible. The hotel pictures show quilts on all the beds. The bath towels were nice and smelled good. The hair dryer in the bathroom had a broken clip on the part that holds it onto the wall. The hair dryer is therefore left sitting on the toilet (GROSS) bowl brush. We tried to switch rooms, but we were told that because we booked with a third party, we would have to pay directly to the hotel for another room and try to get the money back from the 3rd party for the first room. The 3rd party doesn't give refunds. The reviews for this hotel are good, but every unit is individually owned. I believe that had we had a different unit our experience would be vastly different. This place could...
