The facility itself is very nice!
Also very nice complimentary breakfast is provided.
I love the bar they have as well as the lounge area with a fireplace and a variety of seating options.
I love the outdoor patio sitting area.
The rooms are PERFECT with the exception of the fact that I am a germophobe and detest carpet, which the suites do have.
I wish they had hardwood floors or laminate or tiles throughout the rooms instead of carpet.
The rooms have perfect sized kitchen appliances and even include dishes, cookware, etc. and dish detergent, sponges, cleaning rags, etc.
Unfortunately, the sweet young lady that works 2nd shift was ill yesterday evening.
It was very noticeable and when I asked her if she was feeling well, she told me that she did not.
She advised that she was going home early as soon as her replacement came.
I told her that I hope she feels better soon.
This afternoon, she has returned to work, this time with a face mask on and appearing to feel worse than she did on yesterday.
I am concerned because there are current public health emergencies going on as it pertains to the flu and COVID-19.
Out of concern, I contacted the manager on duty by calling on the phone from my hotel room.
She sounded both young and unconcerned on the phone. She admitted that the employee is in fact sick, but noted that since she does not currently have a fever, she is not contagious.
I believe that this is awful to do and shows lack of concern for both the sick employee as well as for guests who could get sick from her.
Additionally, my bathroom wasn't fully cleaned, as the sink had long hairs in it and on the counter, and the shower area did not have shower gel refilled.
I was in the midst of trying to take a hot shower and realized that there was no gel in the pump.
I used the hair shampoo on my body instead, which worked just fine.
Overall, I would definitely return and I definitely recommend this...
Read moreI had originally booked a room here in order to recuperate from surgery that was to take place right across the street. That plan fell through, but, since the room was booked, I decided to stay anyway with my friend, although, I had no real reason to be there. I'm so happy that I decided to stay. It was an exceptional experience! Everything was top-notch. When initially entering the inn, we noticed the lovely holiday decor and were warmly greeted and welcomed by Daniel at the front desk. In our room itself, the suite was clean and spacious, the kitchen came equipped with a right-sized refrigerator with ice-maker, 2-burner cook-top, dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, 1-cup coffeemaker, dishes, flatware, glasses, coffee mugs, pots and pans. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. The beds were super comfy. Free breakfast was provided downstairs with a good variety of hot and cold items. Probably, the most enjoyable part of staying there was the staff, especially, Daniel, LaNord, and Max (the bartender) as well as the housekeeping staff, all of whom were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Adjacent to the inn, is a Publix grocery store that practically shares the same parking, the Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass is about 15 minutes away in Simpsonville, The Village Anchor, an eclectic little bar/ restaurant with paintings on the ceiling is about 10 minutes away in Anchorage, additionally, there is MozzaPi, an artisan pizzeria/bakery in a unique building (converted barn, perhaps?) that is less than 10 minutes away. Also, the hotel itself has its own Bar & Bites, pub grub, beer/cocktails and, right now, they have festive, specialty holiday drinks at a reasonable price. Did I mention Max, the bartender? She's awesome. Overall it was a great little staycation and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here for any reason (or,...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about this Hotel. As a Platinum member, who travels frequently, I was impressed with the physical plant, the staff and the accommodations. I did not get to enjoy the breakfast and there was no evening events that I knew about or was informed of. I was only in town for 2 days but the Hotel was located near some friends I was visiting and with easy access to the Freeway.
The rooms are spacious and laid out nicely! We had a room with 2 Queen beds and the beds were comfortable. The pillows, which are usually bad at most Marriott hotels, were VERY comfortable. The staff we interacted with were all very pleasant and gracious. Parking was not difficult and we never once had any problems with our room keys or access to the building. The only suggestion I would even think to make, and it isn't that big of a deal ... but ... on the day we were due to check-out, I had arranged a later check-out to allow my wife to sleep-in. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 10:45am despite us having a later check-out and a Do Not Disturb hanger on the door! Aside from that, it remained a FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE ... in each and every aspect of our stay. I will be back next time I'm in...
