I had NO IDEA that just anyone, for the right price, can open up a hotel and declare themselves âHiltonâ! I used to LOVE Hilton Hotels but this pretend Hilton & itâs âGM/ownerâ really messed up my life- besides the exhausting drama & HUMILIATION, I am upset bc of spurious fines & charges I received on the Amex card I opened strictly so I could be a Honors member again, after not needing hotels for a few years. NEVER has this kinda thing happened at any Hilton ever! I should have NOTICED that this was no Hilton hotel! I SHOULD have read reviews! So now, the Hilton is ruined for me. I donât trust any of them & am finished w Hilton Honors. I know I can expect no help from them. As someone else said, I am STILL thinking about this nightmare! All the other one star reviews at LEASE get a response but not MINE! That manager KNOWS she LIED.
Wow. Horrific. Where to start? I DID turn to Hilton Honors at the time (12/24/24) but âGeneral Managerâ covered her tracks & I can do nothing (I wonât give up!). Finally got the Better Business Bureau & they were horrified when I explained what had happened but- guess what? As soon as anyone finds out that I am talking about THIS Hilton? They immediately tell me- OH! Thatâs an âindependently ownedâ hotel-NOT A HILTON. NOT OUR PROBLEM.
I was barged in on 2x & as a wimpy person & also a longtime Hilton Honors member, I trusted the Hilton implicitly; it never occurred that this place was gonna treat me to a full on Jerry Springer type scenario; again, this is something that has never EVER happened to me at ANY REAL Hilton! General manager barged in 2x, to âinspectâ & just to have witnesses she dragged a lot of suits along the second time. I was humiliated. SHE! CALLED! THE! COPS!? She hollered that she was being âthreatenedâ (?) & called 911; she described the âperpâ as little ol 5â1â me! NOT my big tough ex Marine bf- ME! I had not nor have I EVER threatened anyone! I begged her to PLEASE LET US LEAVE!
After she called police on me, for no reason? (I was CRYING, btw. No threats!) I had to STAY bc if cops are called, you canât leave before they arrive or you have yourself a WARRANT! The police came, seemed nice, said room was not trashed. Later I found SEVERAL $300 fines on my bill plus charges for AFTER SHE CHASED US OUT! After a month of paying & causing NO TROUBLE?
While I was stuck waiting/speaking w police, she called Hilton Honors, Amex, everyone-w her phony âevidenceâ about how I had trashed the room! She had a different story for everyone! Also? She ran to the police station (while I was still trapped at the hotel) & she changed the tale about how I âthreatened herâ to one in which we were SQUATTING? She did this WHILE the cops were there & she knew I was trapped. Iâd BEGGED her to please let us leave (when she barged in that day we werenât dressed or anything), yet she told OTHER cops that we had REFUSED to leave? Just- WHAT? First police told me that bc the story changed, it was an OPEN INVESTIGATION; as long as it is open? I can NEVER have a copy of the report. Now that the case is finally closed- I STILL canât see the report? Did she PAY someone off? I refuse to pay the fines, the charges stayed & the âdealâ I made w Amex (they wonât budge after she talked to them first!) is wrecking my credit.
Someone at the front desk emailed to apologize for our nightmare & offered me $300 but that went right back to them anyway!! I donât think now it was really a âgesture of good willâ and my god- I wonât even go into every last trick this manager of a pretend Hilton pulled, last Christmas Eve! She said she needed to drag the entire cleaning crew in; no one was even there! She hollered the place was destroyed & she could never rent it again?
I am DONE w Hilton Honors! One rep put me on hold FOREVER and then said âSorry- canât hear you! Weâre having a Christmas party!â Amex said THEY NEED EVIDENCE! I am not allowed to have that report. She might own that whole town! She does NOT like animals yet itâs âpet friendlyâ? Really destroyed me in more...
Read moreThe entire purpose of this review is solely to make the staff more aware and allow for a better experience for everyone. I think when the disappointment of our trip wears off, we would likely stay here again. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovations. This did not directly impact our stay as it was mainly cosmetic and did not cause any disruption. We booked and stayed 4 nights and 5 days. On the first night, the fire alarms when off at 2am which if you have never encountered before, are so loud that you cannot hear your own voice. Evacuated 4 young kids to outside where it was roughly 17 degrees. We were allowed back to our rooms about 25 minutes later although no real apology or explanation from the staff. Only told to go back to our rooms and that it was a problem with their system. Our kids were scared to death for the remainder of our stay each night. The hot breakfast that everyone ranted and raved about on other reviews was sub par. It consisted of cereal, fruit, oatmeal and if you would like, they will warm you up a Jimmy Dean frozen biscuit sandwich. This was probably the biggest disappointment as we had to go find breakfast elsewhere each morning. There were some issues with the room such as practically no toilet paper in either bathroom and 2 tissues in total. I had to track down a staff member on the second night after calls to the front desk went unanswered and no one there when I walked down. The gentleman I stopped in the hallway was very nice and provided me several rolls of toilet paper and 2 boxes of tissues. Two towels per bathroom for a 2 bedroom hotel room fit to accommodate 6-8 people. There were also closet doors that are borderline impossible to open and close, lamps without lightbulbs, faucets that the cold and hot were reversed among a few cosmetic issues however, I assume those will be corrected through the renovations. There were a few maintenance team members who were very rude and during daytime hours, shout at you âno parkingâ somewhere specific while you were parking if it was going to interfere with their work however, there was zero way for a guest to know that we would be in their way and these spots were not blocked off, coned off, roped off or anything to suggest you shouldnât park there. I saw this happen to several guests, not just myself.
A few positives-
The room was spacious enough for the 2 of us and our 6 kids which would normally have given us enough space had we not had the kids scared from the fire alarm on the first night. (They all wanted to be crammed in the same room with mom and dad after that). The indoor pool was immaculate, warm and we all enjoyed it on several occasions. There was an outdoor courtyard that provided a basketball court and outdoor grills. The beds were pretty comfortable although I believe they are all being upgraded to new ones or some may already have been. Every member of the staff, minus the 1 maintenance guy were extremely nice and kind and seemed to actually want to be helpful which was nice. It was conveniently located and easy to get places for food, activities etc. You can tell that the upgrades, when complete, will be nice and that the hotel will be a really nice place to stay.
Ultimately, I think that all of these things are items that the hotel can work...
Read moreWe stayed for 2 nights, upon arrival, I like to give a great review but this location had some things to address. Overall the room was clean and cozy so it was not terrible, I would stay here again for sure. With that out of the way, I will list the items to address, the luggage cart we used had a flat tire, it dipped and almost fell over with our luggage on it, when in the room, you can flip tge switch to turn on the kitchen lights and it also turns on ambient lighting at the same time, turning on the ambient lighting without the eye burner lights would have been great. There is no exhaust fan to use in the bathroom, there are no ambient lighting like small mirror lights or something to use in the bathroom, just bright eye burners and those are horrid on the eyes in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. The shower in the handicap room we had the water kept trying to trail out the shower and toward the carpet, we had to throw a rolled towel on the floor to protect the carpet from the water. Knowing we were goingvto be staying in a handicap room beforehandcwould have been nice to know, I do not prefer them. When I used to work in the hotel industry I would always be sure to make the person well aware of anything like that before booking the room in case they did not want that. There is a breakfast included in the stay, the breakfast food that I experienced was very very dry, hard hashbrown patties, they honestly were hard to bite apart so that was an absolute no, the scrambled eggs were not very flavorful, I actually am not hard to please food wise and this was not good, I ate it because we were going somewhere for the day and I wanted to not get hungry right away, why doescscrambledceggs and hashbrowns have to be difficult? If you are serving that, you could stop or make it better "edible" would be good. The swimming pool was cold, so cold, my hubby would no get in but our young daughter did because (surprise, that is a part of why we stayed here) the filtration seemed to not be working a McD receipt and other debris were in the water, my hubby mentioned thecroom was "hot" they must have been trying to heat the pool with the room temp. There was a big dip in the mattress closest to the bathroom in our double queen room, my hubby ended up going to the chiropractor when we returned back home to feel better. We did like the room location, the room was very pretty, the kitchen with the full size fridge was so nice to get groceries to eat instead of dining out all the time. The room was clean and we appreciated that very much. The parkinglot and areas were well maintained and clean. They are in the midst of a remodel so hoping some of these items can be addressed. Very nice place to...
