Wanted to try something different instead of ordering the traditional India cuisines so ordered the chicken tikka masala pizza (non traditional fusion), dry gobi Manchurian, veg samosas, and mango lassi- more of the traditional apps

I am Bengali- so speaking from a south Asian perspective, the food overall was seasoned very well. I would definitely get carry out food again but try more of the traditional dishes like the biryani and the chicken curry dishes.

I would give the Chicken tikka masala pizza a 5/10 I was expecting the pizza to be a bit more bigger but it was the size of my hand. Not sure if the size was mentioned on the website? The pizza crust was not really a pizza crust, it was very thick almost like a naan consistency. The chicken tikka masala gravy was average. I probably would not get this again.

Dry gobi Manchurian was probably the best dish we got. It was seasoned very well. But probably would have been better if we dinned in and ate it instead of carry out bc it got a bit soggy by the time we got home.

Veg samosas were good. It was a bit over fried but the filling was good. Would get this again. The chutneys were also good.

Mango lassi was good. It was definitely more on the less sweet side which I like but alittle too much rose water of a flavor- which my husband loved, me not so much.

This place was definitely in the cut. You have to drive up the hill and then drive all the way down. The area is a bit shady and I wouldn’t feel comfortable eating inside to be honest.

Compared to other Indian restaurants in York, Pa this was definitely the best. Hence will be back to try the other dishes bc the chef...

The food was delicious. If you are looking for true traditional desi style food, this is the place. Do not be fooled by where it's located. This restaurant had one of the best indian food I've had in a really long time. If you are looking for true taste from Mumbai, you will get it here. Its one of the hole in the wall type of places and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend it and I'd go everytime we are in town. This is def. True authentic Indian food

Service was great Menu had variety for all ages and tons of vegetarian and non vegetarian options the booths had great wall decor and was clean Food came fairly quickly Flavors and consistency of the food was how we wanted all of our items to be and came out exactly as asked Prices were also reasonable Chef and server were very pleasant to talk to As for the food, we got Honey Lotus root which was amazing Best Samosa chaat I've had in a very long time. It was extremely authentic. It reminded me of Mumbai/Delhi style. Paneer Makhani Pasta was Wow. Absolutely delicious. I'd get this over and over again Paneer 65 was delicious as well Paneer Tikka was perfection.

One plus was they def. Knew and asked the right questions around how we liked our food especially with kids they made sure they got the spice level right and they nailed it. 5 stars is less...

The York area has several options for Indian food now. Spice House enters with traditional dishes and modern twists to separate itself from the others.

For appetizers, we had the chili lotus, babycorn chili, and samosa chaat. All three were very good, but everyone enjoyed the spice and unique flavor of the babycorn and chili lotus. It's the first time anyone at the table had lotus, and it was a table favorite.

At our table, we had chicken vindaloo, chicken curry, goat curry, lamb roganjosh, and classic chicken tikka masala. Everyone loved everything. If you like heat, don't be afraid to go to a 7 spice level. That was the highest at the table and was a perfect combination of flavor and spice. The naan was a perfrct compliment to the meal. The jalapeno was popular at the table. The other interesting things to try on the next visit are the pizza/pastas and possibly one of the fried rices.

The meal ended with shahi gulab jamun, which was the best we ever had.

They make the best of their semi awkward location. They are behind a large banquet hall in the very back of an older hotel. There aren't many tables, but the seating is cozy with simple decorations.

With Spice House and Bollywood Grill now in the area, there is no need to travel to Harrisburg or Lancaster for incredible...

If you or anyone is looking for a restaurant that’s exceptionally phenomenal from the flavors and spices and delicious cuisine. Then Spice House Authentic Indian Bistro is certainly sure to please! My husband Josh & I had our first experience here and we will certainly agree that’s it’s completely well worth it! We understand the location isn’t your ideal location. We promise you one thing once you had your first bite all that goes out the window. Huge compliments to the chef as well. It certainly feels as if you’re enjoying an amazing Indian meal from your own home. You can definitely tell the love and attention to details. I must admit if you love spicy then this place certainly will pack an huge punch. This restaurant is worthy of Five Stars all around the board. Come and Try Spice House for yourself or family or friends. You will not regret it! Our first experience was well worth it! We had Goat Korma and Lucknow Chicken along with Garlic & Onion Naan and the Mango Lassi was excellent and creamy and delicious. Spice House you certainly have out done yourselves with this unique restaurant. Definitely our number 1 recommendation!
