I have to stay here when I’m this area for work. I’ll give the ratings asked for first then a more in depth explanation of my real experience. I’ll give it 4 stars for the rooms. They’ve always been clean, and the upgrade is nicer than it was before. (still don’t quite get why they installed Bluetooth in the bathroom mirrors???). 2 stars for service for a few reasons. It appears as though they cannot keep staff. There is rarely ever the same person at the front desk, and each of them seems to have a different level of understanding of not only the check in process, and it one of them figure out the Marriott Bonvoy awards program. Am I a member? It’s in the reservation. Have I stayed here before? They can see that as well. Chips for a free drink per night? Comes with the program level, but rarely get them. Staff is always friendly, but they just don’t have a clue. Location 4 stars because it’s by the highway, which I love! And I can’t hear the highway, which I love! The parts they don’t ask about. Tonight I’m here and they have free beer and wine till 7 and they’re out of all liquor except whiskey. And, they struggle to get/keep a good bar tender. The elevators. The inspection certificates are expired. The one in the photo is the one closest to the lobby. Check out what appears to be a sign off on the right. Formats don’t match. Could be nothing but a different sign off format? Not so sure because it’s dated after expiration. The buttons don’t light up (they used to), you have to push the button multiple times for a response, which is sometimes a false response (meaning nothing happens and you keep pushing till it does), they stop at floors where a stop was not requested (happens too often to be elevator ditch), I have to press the floor button once to close the door, then again and hold to get it to actually move. They make weird noises (not the usual noises at all) at times, and they drop a little bit every time I step on, I only way 240. Not light, but not 6 people worth of weight. I told them about this at the front desk the first time I noticed, and they laughed. Said perhaps I should take the stairs. Last time I said anything. Today I remembered to take pictures, and will contact the bureau listed on the certificate to either inspect or re-inspect. So, over all a 2 because of what seems like a major safety violation and clueless customer service.

Where do I begin with this experience?!?! WHAT AN AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL experience. We attended this hotel for a wedding. First the rooms were not available in time, they put us in a room that wasn't clean then moved us to another room which smelled extremely damp and dewy but we didn't have time to check things out because we didn't want to be late for the wedding. We arrived back at the room (2 adults and a 4 year old) the smell of mold was extremely strong so we started searching around to find the issue. Behind a picture on a wall covered a nice hole, which you could see mold behind. We continued to rip down the wallpaper (which was placed over the drywall to cover the mold) to see just how much mold was hiding....AN ENTIRE BATHROOM WALL!!!! I immediately called down to the front desk to switch rooms as I couldn't have my 4 year old sleep in this atmosphere. The front desk answered and said "It's 11:30 at this point there is nothing we can do about it just suck it up til morning" I sent my daughter into another room with other family members who attended the wedding. After a week of emailing back and forth the hotel gave us 4,000 reward points and refunded the nights stay. An avg stay is 10,000 reward points so obviously we will never be booking with them again. I hate to think how many people this has happened to.

I honestly do not have anything negative to say about this hotel! Everything about it screams comfort! Very friendly host's I arrived at 7Am and there was complimentary breakfast it consist of muffins, cinnamon rolls, toasts, eggs, sausage, hashbrown, fruits, and yogurts... Clean Hotel all around. There is coffee all day and night at the lobby, there is a restaurant with a bar, they even have a room that can be rented for personal use. I had a small fridge in the room, this has been the best hotel I have stayed in yet! They have movies available to rent, fitness room, indoor pool and a hot tub, coin washer and dryer, the room had coffee machine, ice bucket and water. There is room service, and dry cleaning..Iron and ironing board available too. There was no safe in the room but that did not bother me at all. Totally recommend it!

I have stayed at this hotel for work for the past 3 weekends. The first experience was good. Second was rough. Third started off great and ended not so great. The first time I was nervous because I seen a review saying they had cockroaches but I hadn’t seen anything thankfully. Staff was nice my only complain was that the hallway smelled really bad. Second time the room had so many drain flies in it it was gross and there were cobwebs it just seemed unused and dirty. I mentioned it to the night front desk lady who is honestly one of the best parts of the hotel her name is Maria. She said she would make sure the room got a detail clean the next day. Which it was cleaned but there were still some flies I also seen a small roach. This visit left a bad taste in my mouth. But I stayed again this past weekend the room was much cleaner, hallway smelled fine. I was talking to my girl Maria at night she is so sweet and remembered me. I went down to get breakfast one morning because I had a breakfast voucher. Last time I stayed I had asked for a box because I wanted to take the food Togo. I explained how I work really late until about 2-3am and I wanted to take it to my room so I could go back to sleep. I was given a box and had no issues but Thomas told me next time I don’t need a box I can just take a plate to my room and housekeeping would get the plate. So when I went down this weekend I grabbed a plate started getting my food then I saw Thomas again and said hey I have this voucher can I give it to you. To which he replied these are really old I am not sure if I can accept this. Respectfully the breakfast food is not great so if it’s not free I’m not paying for it I will just go. He said I can leave it at the table I sit at I explained how I was going to take my food Togo because I had a late night same story. He said that we aren’t supposed to do that and that he had said the same thing to another guest he pointed to. I was like I did this last weekend etc. he told me to go talk to the manager at the desk. I explained the situation she said I just have to get a box. Which okay cool. So I ask Thomas for a box he says yeah I can get that. Goes to the kitchen starts talking about the whole situation with a coworker, me and the other guest look at eachother in disbelief because 1. This is incredibly rude 2. I’m so sorry I’m asking you to do your job if you’re going to talk rudely about guest do it quietly after he is done talking he brings me the box and I asked for Togo silver I assumed a box would come with silverware but I assumed wrong he seemed really annoyed. While I waited I went to make a coffee which is available in Togo cups but they were out of cups. When he came back I asked if they had cups he said yeah let me get that, that should have been stocked to begin with. The coffee was cold so it was probably really old and there was no cream just milk I was so over it at this point. Then he asks me to sign the receipt which had a gratuity line but on the voucher it said gratuity was included so I don’t know what is going on here but he is not great… on my way out I mentioned to the manager that he told me last weekend I could just take the plate and this was no issue. The next morning I had no issue whatsoever KeKe was lovely and so sweet. And when I checked out I was asked how my stay was the lady I checked out with was also wonderful I explained everything I have in this review and she apologized said she would say something. I wish I got her name but unfortunately I didn’t but she was so nice. Overall this hotel is probably the nicest in the area it’s not a great area. It’s like a 3-4 star...

I am a loyal Marriott customer. I am a travel nurse currently assigned to local hospital in York. For the past year I have consistently been a loyal guest at Four Points Hotel- York PA

I live in Wilmington, Delaware, and commute weekly to York, PA. I have made Four Points York my home away from home. Over the past 11 months I have stayed at your hotel 36 times, I spend more time at your hotel than I do at my own home... During that time, I have been blessed to receive optimum service from Maddie, Jennifer, and Vince. They are the epitome of great customer service. They have always been amazing and rather accommodating. All 3 have been extremely generous and made me feel like home. Four Points York has been my hotel of choice because of service, name recognition and value. As a travel nurse at Well Span York Hospital, I also am happy to take advantage of the corporate discounted rate.

However, it appears there has been a change in staffing and management. I work from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. I have generally checked in at 7 or 7:30 am. Prior to the staffing change if a room was not ready, they have asked me to give them some time to prepare the room and I would check in at 8:00 am. Over the past 2-3 weeks, with the new staff and without any notice my reservation and check in time have been questioned and customer service has been horrendous. As noted, I have stayed in the hotel 36 times in the last 11 months and as noted, each time have checked in at 7am. I pre check in using the app and its gives me the option to choose check in time which the earliest is 8am.

On the morning of September 30th, I walked in about 7:25 am (my normal check in time) and I was met with negative energy by the front desk representative and the Manager (I believe his first name is Mark). As I attempted to check in, I was immediately stopped and advised I will not be accommodated that morning. I was advised the hotel sold out the night before and I would not be accommodated. Originally, I was confused and requested for them to recheck and figure something out. At that point Mark (a rather large man) asked if I needed help with my bags to leave the lobby. I then became emotional and stated” Sir I’m over 2 hours from home and have nowhere to go. I check in here every week at this same what is the difference today,” At that point I became upset and demanded to speak to someone else and continued to question why I was being treated like this. I have been to the hotel in the morning multiple times during my 36 stays where-it has sold out and I was told we can have a room ready within the hour or please be patient we are getting rooms cleaned. That day it was absolute painful, and I then felt UNSAFE. At that point I became irate once Mark proceeded to reach for my belongings and put me out with no assistance in looking for a local hotel that had availability. He offered zero empathy, care, or concern. He has no business in any client facing role. I attempted to leave while calling my husband for comfort and then turned around and questioned the staff again on why I was been treated like this after basically “living” there. I left beyond emotional and upset and drove around a city where I know not one person and found a hotel. After working extremely tough 12-hour shift and then being traumatized by your hotel manager and staff it’s time to rethink my dedication to Marriott.

If you treat loyal customers this way, I can only imagine how he and his horrible team treat the...

The hotel itself is very nice it looks very fancy and clean when you first walk in and the rooms were clean. The pool seemed clean and was nice but for some reason the hot tub jets shoot like straight upward so if you get practically water boarded if you sit too close to one of the jets when they’re on. Now here’s where my review turns a little sour. The walls are like paper thin so you can hear like everything that’s happening in the rooms out in the hallway and in the next room over. We stayed there after our wedding night and a few of our friends were hanging out in our room and simply talking at normal speaking volume we got a noise complaint which would have been no issue at all because we broke up the little hang out session as it was getting late anyways but the front desk people were extremely rude about it when they let us know about it. Then the next morning we went down to get breakfast after I had called down and asked if they had breakfast there because I couldn’t find any information about it online when I searched and I was told they do serve breakfast until 11 in the weekends. When we went down they had the breakfast laid out buffet style like most hotels with free continental breakfast do and there were no workers in sight to ask and double check that it was available and everything so we started making plates. Now there wasn’t much left as it was about 30 mins before the end of breakfast but was left was very watery scrambled eggs and some remains of sausage and potatoes. Then as we’re starting to make plates a worker appears out of nowhere demanding our breakfast tickets or whatever she called them and we were all confused and had no idea what she was talking about so we gave her our room numbers and she was irritated that we were from 3 different rooms and said she would be right back. Then she came back and rudely explained that our rooms didn’t come with breakfast and demanded that we pay and we were confused because some of us were booked under the wedding party block and others of us had booked under special packages and things like that so she made me come up to the front to sort it out and the lady at the front was just as rude when explaining it wasn’t part of our room or the wedding package to have breakfast. A total misunderstanding on our end and that was our bad but even when I had called down I was given incorrect information and we explained that we would rather spend the $10 per person to go to the restaurant nearby and get food instead but asked what we were supposed to do with the plates we had put some food on to and the receptionist just looked at the kitchen lady and said that’s up to you so the kitchen lady just glared at me and started walking away without saying anything so I followed her back to the breakfast bar where she just stood there starting at all of us so we weren’t sure what to do all she had said to us was you can pay $10 per person to eat here or leave so we just dumped what we had put on our plates in the trash and went up to get our stuff and checked out. Overall the stay was horrible because of the customer service there wasn’t anyone there our entire stay that spoke clear complete English so they had a very hard time understanding us at all and were just completely rude. We won’t stay there again for sure and it really just stinks because it was like $180 per night and it was our wedding night so it should’ve been a very happy memory for us and...
