Otter Lake Services Center — Local services in Marathon Township

We had a vibration during braking issue on our truck. We were told by a GM dealership that it was a tire issue. We worked worked with Discount Tire. They were willing to bend over backwards for us but they were convinced it was not a tire issue. Discount Tire called Otter Lake Services Center to discuss the problem. While Discount Tire was willing to give me $1500 worth of new tires, I decided to let Otter Lake Services Center take a look at our truck. WOW! What a great group of people! Gary was so honest when he took it for a test drive, saying: "It's not what I thought it was when I talked to Discount Tire, but I will figure it out. It's a really weird vibration". Once he figured it out (frozen rear u-joint on drive shaft) he explained everything to us and why that was the problem. He had to do an exhaustive search to find the cause of the vibration and found a couple of other issues that need to be taken care of also (the GM dealership should have found these other issues also, but didn't). We picked up the truck this morning and it drives fantastic. No vibration, no loose steering feel, no drift to the right, and smooth as silk. Thanks to Otter Lake Services Center, Gary, and the entire crew! We will definitely be giving you more business...

Been going in there for years myself and my father. Gary Sr. Is one of the best mechanics out there that I've ever met. I'm a good small engine mechanic but once in a while you run into needing a tire put on a rim kind of thing or just help. This is the place to go for you they are well rounded and have the knowledge and repair equipment with the experience you need to get the job done. I'd recommend this...

My Ford Diesel wouldn't start. Was told to drop it off same day. That was a Tues. Was under the impression they'd get to it soon. I called next day. Was told it wouldn't be looked at until start of next week. I would've known that I would've had it towed to another shop. Eight days later I'm told they can't do diesel repair. Tow bill for 1 mile-$125. No apology no...
