We stayed here for the Ducktails car show. This place was awful. There were roaches in our room, and the toilet ran most of the night. Our shower handles were so loose from the wall, i was afraid that when i turned them on, they were going to fall out. They had air fresheners plugged in everywhere. The breakfast was pancakes from a little machine, honey buns, muffins ,yogurt, and cereal. The milk must have been bad because everyone was throwing it in the garbage. There was a bucket in the breakfast area on a table catching rain water coming in from the ceiling. I am posting pictures. Would not recommend this place at all. I talked to another lady staying there, and she had to change rooms 3 times, toilet over flowing in the floor, and bugs in the tub. She was told that if they wanted to move again, he would refund her money, and they would have to leave.

Checked in around 4:40pm. Employee who checked myself and my friend in was great. Friendly and very helpful. Only thing, didn't mention he booked us a room across from a couple with 2 dogs at the hotel. One dog was constantly barking from the time we arrived to 11 pm at night. Upon arrival, found out the pool was closed and has been for a few days before booking. The internet was constantly buffering and dropping. Had to give up on using it when connection got bad wnough to have routers reset for a 1nd time in one hour to use it. The room was not clean. Dust on the dresser and TV, bathroom walls in shower were badly scuffed and tub not cleaned. Late in the night, around 2am, my friend felt something crawling on her just to discover 2 bugs in her bed and when I woke up there was another crawling on the wall in the room.

Ehm... yep. What can I say? Use their breakfast lounge once and you know how much they care for their guest. It's not quite the welcome you want in a motel. Low budget doesn't have to mean 'we don't give a shit about our guests'. For this money we stayed in WAAAAAYYYYY better hotels in Europe, with a proper breakfast. Where they don't shout at you with papers on the wall (and a lot of them!!) like you're a toddler who doesn't behave at breakfast.

Where to start… we came here to enjoy my wife’s graduation from Indiana Wesleyan University. Upon arriving as we entered Lobby it smelled of mothballs and bug spray. We accepted our keys and then went to our room. My wife and children use the toilet and the toilet did not flush. OK, fine, This kind of thing happens no big deal. My wife ended up having to go to Walmart for some provisions. So my children and I headed down to the pool. Obliged and opened up the pool with his key and we went into the water, the bottom of the pool Had pieces, broken and crumbling laying in the pool. OK fine. It’s an older hotel that needs upgrades. I was still OK. Until I looked up at the ceiling and discovered that the ventilation system was dripping and leaking into the pool from above. The water was freezing cold again OK no big deal but that ventilation system had me begin thinking.

My wife arrived, and we went back to the room and I told her about the pool. Her mom had arrived to their room in the meantime, and they began to unpack. So we figured while they were unpacking, we would turn on our television. But we hear there is no picture. OK, well I’m going to call and tell him that the TV doesn’t work and we have a toilet that does not want to flush.

My wife Proceeds to use the phone in the hotel room, but that doesn’t work either. Surprise surprise.

So she calls the front desk on her cell phone. The man at the desk says well if you would like to watch the TV you can come down here to the front desk and get a remote for the television. Hunh???

And then my wife tells him about the ventilation system leaking into the pool, and I also mentions that the toilet doesn’t flush.

The man says check out now give you your money back otherwise stop creating issues.

My wife was going to just let it go until her stepdad comes into the room and says, “Guess what I found on our bed?”

Pinched between his fingers is a bedbug.

We pack up fast, He goes downstairs and lays it on the counter in front of the young man says we’re But we’re gonna leave you with this. Then he Put the bug on the countertop in front of the young man.

To which the young man says OK OK and start trying to kill the bug As it was crawling across the counter.

I would have to my two years of traveling across this country that this hotel is by far I’m talking away from all the other bad experiences I’ve ever had and I could very easily call it the worst hotel I have ever been to.

From the road, it looks like a very upscale nice looking hotel. But as you walk in the building, you will see mothballs in the planters which we discovered as we were walking out.

I shook the dust my feet upon walking out of this...

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!

August 20th, 2024

I called BlissPoint Inn Marion and asked them if they had a cot. They said no, but they had a king-sized bed and a couch with a pull out bed.

August 23rd, 2024, at 7:00 pm

We checked into the room. They had a king-sized bed with a chair. So I went and talked to the front desk. The lady at the front desk argued with me and said that we did not pay for a room with a king-sized bed and a pull out couch. She reluctantly gave us a room with two queen sized beds. We moved to that room. The refrigerator was unplugged and broken, but my relative needed it for her diabetes medicine. We went to the front desk and told the lady that the refrigerator in the second room was broken and she went across the hall to the other room. She slid the refrigerator across the floor because she could not lift it and plugged it in, and that one worked.

The bathtub was dirty with holes in it. Bathroom towels had mascara stains on them. The room was very dirty. Bed sheets were stained and very dirty. It had red stains on the bedsheets.

No: [ ] Internet [ ] Cable [ ] Swimming Pool [ ] Fitness Center (had mattress filling the room, bed bugs) [ ] Outlet Cover

We were only there for 4 hours because the daughter didn't trust bed with bed bugs. She put the pillow on the floor, and a rochroch came out of the baseboard.

We never got a refund for that night along with $10.00 dog fee. Who would leave more dirt, my dogs being there for 4 hours or the rochroaches and bedbugs? We are so glad we left and didn't bring home the bedbugs, rochroaches and infect our house. Please don't say anything to me, the hotel manager. Instead of apologizing to everyone, start cleaning your hotel. Make it a safe...

I left 1 star because -102568 star wasn't available.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH OR THE HEALTH OF THOSE AROUND YOU, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RE THINK YOUR DECISION TO STAY HERE.

I know of at least 6-7 calls to the Grant County Health Department, and calls to the state, about the seriousness of amount of danger in this hotel.

You would think this is what some refer to as a "crack hotel"... But it's not. Crackheads have higher standards of living then the family of 12 that live behind the front desk.

I see comments about the smell, broken lights, no toiletries, towels, etc. FORGET all that. The amount of cockroaches will distract you from even realizing you're in a room YOU PAID FOR is not safe, smells like decomposition, and under a black light would make you jump in an acid bath.

YOU ARE PAYING FOR THIS.

Saw a review of someone pissed about not having breakfast like advertised. Don't be sad. Be glad - that is Jesus himself helping you dodge a bullet.

I'm not talking about a room with cockroaches. I'm talking about a laundry facility crawling in them, SEVERAL IF NOT ALL ROOMS, public bathroom on first floor, elevators.

If you decide to not listen to my advice because you're as brave as someone flying over the Bermuda Triangle ... Remember you were warned of the disaster that awaits for you and your family :) and if it gets to be to much, go out either side door by the pavilion and get ya a rusted beer bottle and smash your head with it. On any given day there is a nice selection of brand, color, and if you're lucky you'll step in a couple piles of vomit while browsing for the...
