At first, the room looked pretty impressive, clean enough and on a huge area of at least 600 square feet at a particularly cheap price. Quick shower I got into bed, after an hour of sleep, I woke up with six bites on my left arm. at first, I did not realized what bit me. I thought it was a mosquito bite, so i looked for mosquitoes around the room while in bed, suddenly I felt another bit on my left arm agitated I jumped out the bed. finally realized I was bitten by some bed bugs. immediately I called the front desk asking to change my room. still agitated from the horrific event beforehand. Then I moved to the other room I checked it to see if the same visitors are in every room in the hotel I'll probably will call the authority to shot down this zoo of Insects in droves. 15 minutes of sensational and destructive inspection I couldn't find any other insect, so I went back to the old room determined to find the son of the bug that suck my blood like I'm grapefruit, I turned the whole room apart, throwing mattresses and pillows like I was in war with army of blood suction Insects. 30 min of detailed meticulous search, when I don't even know what I'm looking for when I'm finding lots of crumb of bred or pastry along with dry broken pieces of ded bed bugs. My inspection included magnify glass, with one goal and it is to find the annoying intractable. Finally the searches yielded results, I found the little creature running as fast as he can, horrified as he knew he got discovered and his life about to end very soon without any opportunity to farewell to his wife and his kids, for the first few moments I let him run around from blocking him from side to side then I captured him and put him in a little plastic bag, walking thurword the front desk with victory face like I conquered Troy the front desk officer with the undiscovered zoo they share rooms lately as soon as I get closer to him I put the horrifics findings in front of his nose then his face twisted disgus by the live insect move in the bag like he's bluish pallor about to faint, He thanked me with cpontempt for the lovely sight saying he would call the exterminator to spray the entire hotel first thing in the morning. my profession is a long distance driver & mover as I'm moving family's and individuals across country, so that day drove over 9 hours plus labor work before driving and now without any sleep at night I'll need to drive few more hours to get to the destination to unload a whole truck bitten anb swollen hand meanwhile the manager tried to comfort me by saying that the management will contacting me to apologize and I'll be reimbursed for the room expenses as compensation for the inconveniences caused to me, of course I never received a call from the management nor any refund or compensation as promised to me. That day I scratched my bitten arm so bad I felt my skin is peeled off my arm, I suffered that day as I had not suffered like that my entire life. Together with this review I will upload pictures and videos I took to verify and to make perceptible of the horrible experience I had to go through hopefully no other person will have to go through same experience as I did. The management showed lack of care which is suitable to well corrupted third world countries Even if this review will create big impact out there that will effect financial loss to the hotel owner I will not feel a relief of the fact that my health is harmed and to work and drive without sny rest are very danger and risky not just for me as well to people that drividing on the...
Read moreRoom was overall not clean. Smelled like an old ashtray. Furnishings were very worn. Sheets and pillows appeared clean but comforters were not. There were two queen beds and both comforters were stained and did look or smell clean. Ashtray smell permeates everything that we brought into the room. Air conditioning seemed to function properly but was noisy. Hair dryer in the bathroom was barely secured to the wall and fell off the first time that it was touched. Light assembly between beds was barely hanging on the the wall. The windows in the room had tape around the edges; it appeared to try to keep out drafty air. The overall look and feel was one of long term neglect and lack of maintenance.
Both the breakfast/eating area was closed. Pool was closed. Both were posted as being for maintenance. We were there for a Friday, Saturday and Sunday and saw nothing being done. As there was a large car show being held in the nearby towns, hotel selection was very limited, otherwise we would not have stayed. Several people had brought their custom cars, trucks and hotrods so the hotel was full. Parking in the lot is only to the front of the hotel and limited number of spaces. 4 spaces were taken up by a derelict looking car(weeds growing up around it) and trailer. There was a large pickup truck and attached trailer that took up another 6-7 spaces. Overall outside area looked similar to the inside : long term neglect and lack of care.
The other couple with us, there room was also not very clean. The little sofa in the room had old burn holes in several places and wasn't clean. Their room didn't smell terrible, but wasn't very clean. Their air conditioning unit had wires hanging onto the floor with just wires caps holding them together. The comforters also had old cigarette burn holes. The floors in both rooms needed swept and mopped, there was dirt and junk.
We saw that in the entryway/lobby that 3 of the led can lights were just hanging down by the wiring. We will never stay at this hotel again. There is a severe lack of general cleanliness and maintenance. This hotel has been neglected for a long time. I gave it one star. I wasn't sure if you could give it zero. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos to post, but I am not a professional hotel reviewer. I wouldn't recommend this...
Read moreI wanted to leave an honest review based on my personal experience.
First off this is probably the cheapest hotel in the area. And is conveniently placed between Fort Wayne and Indi. You get what you pay for.
It’s not “nice” but it is cheap and a convenient place to crash if you’re not squeamish. Breakfast was provided. Simple yogurt mini cakes. Room didn’t have bugs, ac worked, toilet and shower worked.
#1 the lobby smells like Cigarettes and BO. Was quite noticeable and I don’t consider my sense of smell to be strong.
#2 the Side fire exit door jammed. NEVER ever should a fire door be jammed. One was able to open on one wing of the hotel and the other was totally jammed. HUGE red flag in case of an emergency. But I just took a mental note to head for the other wing in case of an emergency which is the side my room was on anyways.
#3 the keys are cheap. Some hotels got nice keys that don’t deactivate literally every single time they come an inch away from your phone…. But these one are cheap plastic. You get what you pay for and the keys are very sensitive
It’s cheap here, and if you’re not a snowflake if works. The room also smelled like cigarettes but like I vape and occasionally smoke a cig so the smell wasn’t a bother for me personally. The rooms arnt super nice but decent, there was probably some other things wrong I didn’t notice but really it’s just a crash pad. If your traveling for work you’re gonna be too tired to notice or...
