Hilton Garden Inn Arrived at 5 and the two of us started sneezing intermittently (but continuously). Not sure if there are designated pet rooms. We are not particularly ‘allergic’ so apparently cleaning cleaning is not enough. At 9:30 PM, we discovered one bed smelled like urine; we were given another room. Since we had already settled in, it took 30 min to move. They seemed upset but there was no apology or concession. The second room was fine. The facility (rooms, halls, lobby) seems exceptionally clean. Beds have duvet covers but duvets are not inserted into them. Window shade is pretty good, but it ends at the top of the A/C unit so be ready for 2” band of sunlight in the morning. If you are there for a class/conference, note there is nothing closer than 2 miles (no sidewalks) for lunch. There is breakfast / dinner on site for about $20 each. We tested out dinner by ordering ‘truffle fries’ and did not order anything else (they had barely a dusting of parm & were not crispy). The nearby Price chopper market 32 had some good options for salad and other to-go lunches/dinners. Chipotle, Chickfila etc. in the same area. If you connect to the free Wi-Fi, expect the “can’t connect to server” message. When wifi is turned off, the ATT connection in the area was adequate. There’s no freezer section in the mini fridge so we couldn’t freeze our travel ice blocks. Bring your own magnifying mirror if you need it. Bring earplugs if you thought you could to use the comfortable, sunny lobby area to read or do work. Forget phone calls; the loud music is 80% rave/club music and the 3 different reception employees over 3 days did not know how to lower it or turn it off. One told me ‘the music is for everyone, not just you’ and I pointed out I had been the sole person in the lobby for hours. I think they were frustrated they could...
Read moreIf i could rate it a zero stars i would!!!First and foremost they couldn't control their guest, had to endure noise until 1130 pm. When I was in the pool they was scared to address the issues of people throwing things in the pool. I had to find out the hard way that they don't include breakfast in the room price, which by the way,was not worth it! I got charged 80 bucks to eat a bagel and cereal because when I called down to ask the front desk attendant he stated it was complimentary breakfast when in reality it wasn't. The cook was rude when taking your order as if she didn't want to be there. I was watched like a hawk the whole time.I will NEVER EVER RENT from this establishment again!! I've stayed at my share of hotels and never had this problem. And when I called they didn't want to transfer me to a manager either till I made a review. Upon speaking to the Manager(after I posted a review, he stated "now why would I even hear you out or give you a refund, you already made a review) as if my experience in his establishment didn't mean anything. On top of that he was extremely rude and kept insisting I was lying about my experience there. They should look into hiring someone that actually care about the customer they serve and their experience at the establishment because let's face it $200 plus for a room on top of an $80 charge they keep from me till check out. You would think they appreciate someone that spends that much, but they don't. Unless money grows on trees for you and u don't care about the noise and the unprofessionalism from the staff, then by all means this is the place for u. But if u value your money like every normal person does than go elsewhere cause this place is just not worth it!!!! Bunch...
Read moreThe front desk staff are great, specially Jason and the young lady (I apologize for not remembering her name). They ensure that your stay whether it be one night or a week and a half is an enjoyable one and they recognize you each time.
The general manager, Scott is very accommodating as well. There is one extremely rude overnight front desk person with glasses that is an absolute jerk and is rude to each and every time, telling me that their corporate guests are more important…surprise, I own my own company therefore, I am a corporate guest as well and stop there during business trips. I don’t put the trip under my company name, because it doesn’t matter.
Otherwise, it’s quiet unless they have a hockey team, lots of children, or you have a heavy footed individual above you that Mr. front desk with eyeglasses doesn’t believe you about. The heavy footed person likes to wake up at 5 every day and go to sleep at 11pm, and Mr Eyeglasses swears it’s noise that carries when it’s not since the floor above creaking exactly where the bed and bathroom would be…but you’re treated like crap.
If it’s anyone else at the front desk like Jason or the awesome janitor, Mike who tried to wrangle the hockey kids left alone by their parents 🤦🏻♀️ Not the hotel’s fault at all, but they certainly try their best to accommodate guests
These staff members make stays away from home a little less stressful and lonely because they are so friendly and kind. They always have my business when I am in...
