I was going to keep my feedback to the email survey sent after my stay but the manager felt the need to reply to it with dismissal and excuses so I am making a public review. This hotel is old and outdated with an attempt at masking it through one updated wall with nice paint and art, so the marketing pictures mislead you about the condition. The check in process was long, the two staff members I encountered were unfriendly. The quality of the whole building is just poor and can't really be helped, making it incredibly loud and impossible to sleep well. The carpet is gross, the outdated shower/bath area is just gunky around the caulking and grout, there was a broken light switch cover, the loud buzz of the cheap fridge was enough to give you a migraine. It had a musty smell, the HVAC ran loud, and the other guests were disrespectful, one group showing up at 2:40 AM and banging in and out of the door about a dozen times, fighting, possibly drunk. Enough that I got up and changed into clothes from my pjs and went to the hall to figure out which room it was, and was about to report them when they settled down. The sound of every guest coming in and out of the building is loud enough to almost think someone banged the room door rather than the exit door. The second night a group showed up with a screaming kid 3:40 AM. I get it, I've been there, but the parents were yelling at each other and their other kids. Nothing individually was enough to go make an issue in the moment, but over all it was enough to just leave a night early and go home to get good sleep. The bathroom had a pocket door that was banged up, you can see in the attached picture, the sheets were washed (I think!?) but had stains, as did the pillows, which both had thin enough sheets that you could see the stains under them on the mattress and the super small pillows. You could see multiple spots in the ceiling where repair was done poorly. The wifi wasn't a secure network and I was given an 800 number that I had to call to get them to fix it, rather then the hotel taking care of it. When I got an email to leave feedback, I did, and I was honest. I got a dismissive email back saying I should have gone to the front desk if I had a problem. None of those things could have been fixed on the spot, the quality of the building is just old and cheap. If you want something above a super crappy motel but not at the price of a quality one, then this will work for you. This is basically a trucker hotel, with several trucks parked, idling with someone in them, not giving a super safe feeling, in a more remote area, not near many places to eat or shop. Just know the marketing pictures are very misleading and you won't get any focused work done. I read other reviews after my stay, looks like I'm not the only one that had problems.

We made our reservation through a 3rd party and it gave us the option to pay at the property. We provided a credit card and right away the property tried to charge us…twice. We didn’t approve the charge but called the property to make sure we could still check in which we did. After checking in we asked for extra blankets and we were told they were all out. A property this size and they only have 15 extra blankets??? Unacceptable!!! This broken off bar inside the shower is nice and sharp. An accident waiting to happen. Check out the missing shower handle. Toilet seat was loose and deadbolt didn’t work. Update: we don’t own a hotel. What my husband said was that we are in the hotel industry (there’s many facets to the industry) and we know many of the Patel that own many hotels. We never said we own a hotel and never shared in what capacity we were in the industry. We did bring the issue to the front desk staff and they admitted the broken fixtures had not been fixed because they had been too busy. Before I even finished telling the staff about the issues, he said, I know about the toilet seat being loose. The pictures speak for themselves and we posted this information not to be malicious but to offer accurate info so if anyone chooses to stay at the property they are aware of what to expect. If a property wants excellent reviews then they need to provide excellent customer service and hospitality. This review matches the quality of service and accommodations at this property. The booking engine clearly says: “pay at the property” … No where does it say that our credit card would be charged prior to arrival at any time or if the cancellation window had been reached. We made our reservation and arrived on the date we requested the reservation.

If you're passing through the area or need a comfortable place to stay for a night or two, this hotel is a great choice. Reading others reviews perhaps I was lucky but I did not experience any of the issues others are posting. The first thing I noticed was how clean and well-kept the entire property is. From the lobby to the room, everything is tidy and organized. The room itself is spotless, well-appointed, and has everything I need for a comfortable stay. The bed is comfortable--soft, supportive, and perfect for getting a good night's sleep and where most hotels don't get it correct, the shower's water pressure here is very good. The free breakfast is also better than expected when reading others reviews. There is a variety of options that include the basics and a delicious 24/hour free coffee machine that allows for a convenient start to the morning. What really makes the stay though is the friendliness of the staff. I do t know what other reviews are referring to about bad attitudes but everyone I interacted with was courteous and welcoming, which adds a personal touch to the overall inviting experience. A couple of small things to note: the light switch cover in my room is cracked, oh no that is the worst, part of the ceiling in the bathroom had been repaired by an unqualified tradesman so it looked unmatched and if you're over 6 feet tall, the showerhead might feel a little low. Neither of these are deal-breakers for me--just details that might matter to some guests. Overall, Sleep Inn Ogden offers great value, reliable comfort, and excellent cleanliness. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to others who are looking for a solid hotel option in the area. Well done staff, well done.

While road tripping across the county, I decided to save a few bucks and stay here. Ogden was just a pit stop for us after a long day of driving, and the hotel received decent reviews on its internal website. Big mistake. When I arrived, the front desk attendant asked for my name and said he "just gave (my) room away." After several seconds of pretending to frantically search on his computer, he told me he was kidding. I have to wonder if he's ever received a positive reaction to that. Not exactly funny after a long day of traveling. When I got to my room I immediately regretted trying to be thrifty. The room was small and cluttered, and there was a mini fridge in the middle of the room (because it wouldn't fit anywhere else). The carpet was worn and stained, and there was mold above the air conditioner. I went straight to bed, and when I woke up, I was covered in bug bites. At first I feared bed bugs, but eventually I realized that there were 4 or 5 Mosquitos in the room. I tried to pack up and leave as quickly as possible. When I checked out I had noticed that they had charged me a double pet fee for my 2 small dogs. Their website said that the pet fee was $10 per night, and when I politely tried to show this to the hotel attendant, he told me that it's $10 per pet. Again, I tried to explain that their pet policy only stated that there would be a flat nightly fee. I attempted to show this to him on my iPad and even (again, politely) tried to show him the website of other sleep inn pet policies that do charge per pet, and how that's explicitly stated upfront on their websites. The attendant refused to even listen to me or look at the policy. He waved me away and said "it doesn't matter what the policy says, we charge everyone per pet." Horrible customer service and horrible rooms. Pay a few more $ and stay...
