Days Inn by Wyndham North Little Rock / Maumelle — Hotel in Maumelle

So we made a reservation on the Windham website and it told us that we could pay $20 for late checkout at 1:00 p.m.. Upon arrival they did not have my online reservation completed so I had to do the check in all over again, show them my ID and authorize my card again. When I requested a late check out they only charged $10 vs the $20 the website said it was. The next morning they started calling me at about noon asking me if I was trying to rent the room for another night or if I was checking out. I let them know that I was not going to need another night. A few minutes later they call the room again, to inform me that checkout was noon. By this point it was about 12:30ish. I let them know that I didn't realize that check out was noon because the website said it was 1:00. She said it was fine that I could stay but they would charge me another $10. $20 was what I expected to pay already anyway so it was not a big deal. I went to the front desk to go pay the extra money and they inform me that they don't have 1:00 checkouts only noon. I showed him where the website said check out at 1:00. Long story short he did not charge me to stay that extra hour but was really irritated that the website offered a 1:00 p.m. check out when he wanted you checked out at noon. All of this would not have been as big of a deal if they would have told me when I checked in that night that check out was at noon. But upon check in, they never did tell me a check out time after I paid for late checkout. They were really understanding with me about it, as I was with them, but it was definitely falsely advertised through the website and they could have done better to make it clear to the customers. All in all though I would definitely stay...

—FIND ANOTHER HOTEL—THE STAFF OPENS YOUR DOOR UNANNOUNCED. Very sketchy and downright UNSAFE for solo travelers. DIRTY rooms. Not to mention how RUDE management is. There are other budget hotels in the area where you will be treated with respect. There is NO LOBBY. It is used as an owner’s family quarters, and manager will say it is being cleaned, which is a lie. Staff is not friendly, downright RUDE actually. I was laying in bed and my door was opened- no knock, no warning - the do not disturb sign was on the door. There were random hairs in the bathroom. Find a hotel where the staff cares and the room is clean. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

UPDATE: please look at the other reviews where people give negative feedback. The reviews with positive feedback are the owners…. Haha. They are trying to bring the ratings up! I really like it here. They have a big lot next to the motel for semi trucks or buses to park. I thought it was very thoughtful that they had put paver bricks across to the hotel room to make it easier for truckers to get across to the motel. Also they aren’t wasting soaps because they have the liquid kind in reusable dispensers. 😊 The room was cleaned and remodeled. I’m glad that I ignored the Karen like complaining. I was super tired and the front desk clerk could tell so she made my check in quick and painless. The only thing I wish they would do is leave the shade of empty rooms open because I am a woman traveling alone for work and was a little afraid that the room was occupied. It was an easy fix…Lol I just knocked a few times before trying my key. I’m not sure I’ll make it to breakfast but unlike some guests I’ll appreciate anything they have to offer and keep it moving. Thanks for the comfy bed and hot shower....
