Days Inn by Wyndham Mexico — Hotel in Mexico

Do NOT stay here. I heard this place was crap after work had booked it for me. I called to cancel and two different people could not speak English well enough to understand what I wanted. They both almost sounded like they were retarded and got quite testy with me. Couldn't get the message through so I just went with it. Upon arrival it proved out to be a real piece of crap. Smelly, unkempt, outdated, AC not turned up - just basically not clean nor inviting. The persons at the desk were the same idiots. They, themselves, smelled highly of spiced Indian food, as well as the lobby. I took one look at the room and demanded cancellation. They were not happy and actually were rude with me (as they were on the phone). I was going to have to pay one night for the late cancel. After some firm negotiation, I was permitted to cancel for free. Bunch of low-life dirt bag entrepreneurs trying to reap a profit and put nothing into upkeep or maintenance. Don’t stay at this place specially if reservations is through a travel website!!! The owner or manager went on a 15min rant about me booking my room online and afterwards I called him to see if it was possible to check in early. I arrived and was told you booked it online you can’t check in after arguing and him trying to get me to cancel my reservation so he could make the commotion off of the room being booked he gave me a a room and told me this time he would let me check in early ! Like one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had shower took 15mins to get Lukewarm water. My bed wasn’t finish being made and after all of that a house keeper comes 35mins later to tell me they need to finish making my bed. I’m over dealing with days inn all together after this experience. I drives trucks and sometimes just want a decent room to relax in and arguing with front desk then the guy still lets me check in like why argue with a customer instead of telling them it’s ok there is a charge I explained I could pay the extra and he just said since I’m a driver he will let me this time the room was booked before I even called the hotel! Crazy...
