We had a disappointing stay at this hotel, starting with the front desk lady (whom we assume is the manager)'s attitude.
Before booking, I spoke with her (I think her name was Andrea, from Uruguay), and informed her about our two service dogs. She assured me it wouldn't be a problem, and I even noted it in the reservation. However, when my boyfriend took one of the dogs for a quiet morning walk, she literally chased him and very confrontationally accused him of lying about the dog being a service dog. Mocking him in Spanish, including the staff that was around, which caused confusion and awkwardness. (Strike 1)
A few minutes later, when I went to the front desk to find out what that was all about, she accused us of "smuggling" the dogs into the room without informing them, despite my prior notification and documentation. She repeatedly compared us to other guests who had caused messes, without apologizing for her behavior. (Strike 2) Neither us nor the dogs ever did a thing to deserve that kind of treatment. We were clean, organized, and quiet during our 3 night stay. She needs to educate herself with ADA rules/regulations, as to avoid future fines and lawsuits.
Additionally, housekeeping ignored our 'Do Not Disturb' sign and knocked on the door at 9:35 a.m tryingto clean it. (Strike 3)
When we asked to skip cleaning, the manager very forcefully insisted, despite our clear wishes, and argued with us about whether they had knocked before we consented to the cleaning. Essentially calling us liars. (Strike 4)
The hotel was also extremely noisy, with loud noises coming from above our room at 2 a.m., as if moving and dropping heavy furniture. (Strike 5)
The pool was in poor condition – dirty, moldy and filled with debris, including hair balls, bugs, and all kinds of nasty particles floating in the unfiltered water. The Google Maps picture showcasing a beautiful pool overlooking the beach was completely misleading, as the hotel is 2 blocks away from the beach and there's no way of seeing it from the hotel. It is also not a heated pool. (Strike 6)
During check-out, the same woman employee, was yet again, unprofessional and rude, literally running (in front of us) to inspect our room like she expected to find something wrong, to which of course, she did not. (Strike 7)
The parking situation was also inconvenient, as we were given only one parking pass for two vehicles, and had to stress about the risk of having our second car towed. (Strike 8)
Furthermore, the room was infested with ants, and we couldn't leave food unattended for just a few minutes without attracting them. (Strike 9)
We are usually the most non confrontational people you'll ever meet. However, all of this could not go unaddressed.
Given the manager's behavior and the hotel's condition, I wouldn't recommend this place. The cleaning staff was sweet and friendly, but that wasn't enough to make up for the issues we experienced.
I would not recommend this place mostly because of that unpleasant, unprofessional staff member who is woefully lacking in customer relations skills and turned our stay into an...
Read moreIt depends on what you're looking for as to whether this will work for you. ||||Pros: it's affordable, clean, close to a beautiful beach, free parking, and they offer beach chairs and umbrellas. It had a fridge and coffee maker. The staff we interacted with with really nice. We didn't use the pool area but it looked nice and well maintained. There's a trolley stop just out across the street.||||Cons: these are my experiences for my room which was a standard double. The room was clean but run down. The first thing we noticed was the smell, most likely from a leaky AC, evidenced by the giant stain on the carpet. We kept the door open while there which did dissipate it but the smell stuck in my clothes and the blanket I brought with me. There was a giant, at least half inch gap, beneath the front door. Given we were in Florida on the ground floor and the doors opened to the outside, this was concerning. The toilet was running (hubby fixed) and the shower pull was stuck on the tub faucet (fixed that too) but the water pressure was really low. The TV turned on but was set on hdmi input and the remote didn't match the TV so we couldn't change to cable. Walls were thin enough to hear the neighbor snore. The beds were very firm. If the mattresses were pillow top then it's a thin pillow. Hubby didn't mind. The bedding was super thin. Luckily I brought my own blanket and pillows so I used theirs for extra cushion under me. It is noisy from traffic but that didn't bother me as much as loud crowds late at night of which there were none due to it being away from bars and restaurants. ||||I outlined it all so you can judge for yourself what's important to you. We didn't complain and made do. Overall we had a wonderful vacation otherwise and didn't let the minor issues dampen our experience. I rated it a 3 because we knew going it that it wasn't the ritz but I think there are a few things that really...

It’s in a safe and pleasant area, near the site of the tragic building collapse a few years ago. South Beach (e.g. Lincoln Road) is about a 20-25 minute drive south, and there’s a Publix and a few bars about 5–10 blocks north.|However, it sits right by a busy main road. The rooms are not soundproof, so if you’re a light sleeper, the traffic noise—especially from loud motorcycles or cars—can be disruptive.||Room|Spacious and clean with a large, comfortable bed. There’s a small kitchen area with a fridge, sink, and some basic cookware, but it’s limited in terms of utensils and cooking options. The bathroom includes basic amenities, and there’s an open closet area with a safe. A great bonus is the large smart TV.|Overall, basic but comfortable—just be prepared for some noise from the road.||Facilities|One of the best perks is a hotel that offers free parking—a rare find in Miami Beach. Each room seems to have a spot, and that alone adds great value. There’s also a nice central pool area with loungers and tables, the pool was very clean. I noticed mats and umbrellas guests can grab and use for the beach. Wi-Fi was strong, and there are vending machines, a water dispenser, and free coffee in the lobby.||Staff|Check-in staff were friendly but speak limited English, and there was a small hiccup with the Wi-Fi password. Still, it was manageable.||Overall|At around $100 per night with no resort or destination fee, this place is an excellent value. Many nearby hotels charge those fees but offer less no free parking or a pool. For that reason alone, I’m giving it 5 stars. Just a heads-up: if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs or a sleep aid to block the...
