Deluxe Inn & Suites — Hotel in Miami

I have stayed here before, and usually, owners are not too bad to deal with, however, this last experience that I had will make it to where I do not give this guy any more of my hard-earned money. He will go against whatever whoever is at the front desk tells you. We had booked a smoking room; they didn’t have smoking rooms available, so his son (I assume), said as long as there were no damages we would be fine. When we left the room I called and his wife said I would be receiving a full deposit back and that everything was great. Well, when it came to getting the deposit back he yelled at me over the phone that nobody told me about the room being able to be smoked in. Then told me I wouldn’t be getting my deposit back until I argued enough to get only half of it back. He’s incredibly rude and wants to yell at people who have paid for the room already, about not having guests. In the middle of the day even. I’m sorry that is their room, that is paid for; it’s not like the guests are staying there with the people who rented the room. And when you want to yell at somebody, for coming by while having a puppy with them, when they’re not staying there and they offer to give you a deposit, you should probably take it. It’s extra money for an animal that’s doing no damage, and who’s not even staying there. Your attitude is piss poor. You will be the demise of your own business. You would think that for a place that has cockroaches and bedbugs you'd be trying to keep as much business...

STOPPED IN LATE GOT A ROOM SLEEP A SHORT TIME AND HIT THE ROAD. GOT MY VISA BILL WAS CHARGED 15.00 EXTRA ON MY BILL. CALL TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THEY SAID I HAD A PET IN THE ROOM, WHICH I DID NOT SO THE LADY SAID THE MANAGER WOULD CALL ME , NEVER DID. I CALLED BACK 2 WEEKS LATER AND HE ACTED LIKE I WAITED TO LONG TO CALL HE NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. I TOLD HIM THAT THE BED WAS DIRTY HAD DIRT ON IT AND CAT HAIR . I LEFT A NOTE AND PUT A SMALL SPOT OF LOTION WHERE ALL THE CAT HAIR WAS , THAT WAY THEY HAD TO CHANGE THE SHEETS. NOW HE SAID THEY CHARGED ME 15.00 BECAUSE I BROUGHT THE CAT INTO THE ROOM AND I SHOULD HAVE TOLD THEM THAT NIGHT RATHER THAN WAITING AND LEAVING A NOTE. SO HE SAID IT LOOKS LIKE I WAS THE ONE THAT BROUGHT THE CAT INTO THE ROOM SO NO HE WILL NOT GIVE ME BACK THE 15.00. HE SAID THEY HAD NO WAY KNOWING I HAD NO CAT SO WHEN THEY SAW THE CAT HAIR ALL OVER THE BED I GOT CHARGED. WHEN I CHECKED IN THEY ASK ME IF I HAD ANY PETS AND I TOLD THEM NO. THIS IS A CHEAP, DIRTY, TRASHED OUT, OLD MOTEL, RAN BY SOMEONE I BARLEY COULD UNDERSTAND ON THE PHONE HE FINALLY JUST...

I would love to give this a better rating, but I cannot. Both nights, it was evident that the building had no insulation between floors - meaning that when the "traveler" (as the proprietor called him) paces back and forth - every stinking step is amplified down into the room I was in. 1am... 2am... 3am... Doesn't this person stop? No - they paced ALL NIGHT LONG - starting around 11pm. I stood on the bed and banged my ceiling - and it stopped for about 10 minutes... Then the pacing starts again. 2 nights of almost zero sleep. I tried ear plugs - however, was afraid I'd miss my 6am alarm. I'm sure I slept a very little bit - but not much. I didn't call the office - because the person wasn't "being loud" - but I could hear them walk, the floors (my ceiling) would creak, and I could hear speaking...

Also - their free wifi would connect for my laptop... However no out connection to the internet was available. Had to just hotspot from my phone instead. 🤷

I was happy to be home in my own bed after traveling to...
