I booked here for myself and autistic THREE YEAR OLD thinking Travelodge will be good as they have NEVER failed before. That was NOT the case for this place. They slapped the name "Travelodge" onto an old, run-down Super 8 motel. My first indicator should have been how poorly lit the property was. Additionally, the Super 8 sign flickered and the Travelodge sign didn't even light up. I actually passed the property initially because I didn't see anything stating it was the Travelodge property. The customer service was horrible. No where  near professional, one of the lobby workers was sitting with his BARE feet propped up on the coffee table when I checked in. The room was even worse. The hallway going into where our room was located had trash bagged up near someone's room which stayed for multiple days. The smell from the trash was enough to make myself and child sick to our stomachs. The entire property was disgusting to the point that neither of us could even enjoy our trip due to us being too sick to do anything. (Not to mention it being highly unsanitary) Onto our rooms... The doors were warped so bad that it couldn't be closed or even secured properly (putting my family's SAFETY at risk). The ONLY reason I felt safe is because of my personal firearm. The room did not have a safe for said firearm (luckily I brought mine otherwise due to NOTHING being high enough other than a wobbly towel rack I was able to keep my firearm out of my childs reach). Non-smoking room, however, the smell of smoke (cigarettes was not the only thing being smoked) lingered throughout our room (I do not smoke and I do my best to ensure my child is not exposed to smoke either). Only half of the power outlets worked and others were broken. The microwave was unsecured and could have EASILY been pushed off or even pulled onto my three year old. The double paned windows were not double paned and the window was actually broken yet "repaired" using scotch tape. The smoke detector in our room was disabled and totally removed from its base then the exposed wiring was covered by a singular tissue. There also seemed to be a mold growing above where the smoke detector should have been. The bed was sloppily put together, making it questionable if the sheets were even clean. After I pulled back the bed sheets there was a hairball in the middle and towards the foot of the bed there was dirt of some sort. This also includes 2 different types of hair already next to the pillows BEFORE we even slept. The bathroom had filthy floors and tub. There was a PILE of hair, dirt, and dust in EACH corner. The toilet looked like it hadn't been clean in years. The shower had less water pressure than a garden hose. The clean and untouched towels had a short curly black hair (I have long light brown straight hair) on it. The floor throughout the entire room was so dirty, my CLEAN socks were brown on the bottom after ONLY walking from the bathroom to the bed. The wall had a hairball hanging from it as well as what looked to be a bedbug. The light above the sink did not work (see picture of light switch in on position wirh no light) The "continental breakfast" consisted of ONLY 2 options of cold cereal and waffles that were made from a filthy waffle iron. WE WILL NOT BE BOOKING AT THIS HOTEL HERE OR ANYWHERE ELSE  EVER. It was only AFTER the stay did I ser the MULTIPLE Google reviews pointing out the EXACT SAME problems. The property responded to each of them stating they'd address the issues (dating at least a year back and some as new as 2 months ago) but clearly have not. As I am now home writing this review, I have also noticed that my shoes reek of cat pee. (I do not own a cat and I have not had my shoes near a cat) I wore these shoes entire time except for one day. These shoes were sitting on the hotel floor the one day I didn't wear them and when we came back they had "cleaned". If you are booking a trip, I highly suggest wherever you go find the nearest Marriott or Choice affiliate. I can guarantee the rooms at the Marriott, Hilton or its affiliates will be

If you are booking a trip, I highly suggest wherever you go find the nearest Hilton or Hilton affiliate. I can guarantee the rooms at the HILTON or its affiliates will be clean, safe, and highly sanitary with friendly staff. When I called the HILTON and explained our situation, they were quick to accommodate our military family and help us out with our issue. Travelodge/Super 8 by Wyndham? STEER CLEAR and... GO TO THE HILTON, instead!!

Overall terrible property, pictures are VERY deceiving. Place was disgusting, they definitely didnt clean the room. Dirt and hair all over floor. If youre looking to take a bath and shower all at once, this is your place cause the shower doesnt drain. I was standing with water halfway up the tub. Phone to call front desk barely works, hair dryer doesnt work, smoke alarm has no battery in it!?! Mini fridge has red gunk in it, none of the surfaces were wiped and they didnt replenish hardly any towels in room

I can't say enough good things about my stay at Travelodge. From the very beginning the manager was courteous, helpful, so professional and kind. They all go out of their way to make sure guests have what we need! The rooms have been updated beautifully, and are very clean, no bugs this place is really nice and I'm very picky trust me. Very comfortable mattresses and chairs, lots of space in the rooms for everything you need. Housekeeping comes every day to make sure guests have fresh towels, soap, shampo, coffee, TP, anything. I hesitate to ask for help at times just because I worked in service most of my life and know how hard it can be, but they are so hospitable! Maintenance is wonderful too, they work hard to keep everything running and fix any issues as soon as they arise. The breakfast is great! Waffles every day, I mean who doesn't love waffles? 👍🏻 Plus lots of other choices, OJ and coffee. The location is great it's just minutes from Carlisle and Mechanicsburg, close to stores and a couple great diners. I really appreciate everything, the manager and staff here are wonderful. You won't regret your stay here at Travelodge,...
