This motel has potential. To whoever owns this establishment you have one big problem. I have been all over the world. Never have I experienced what I encountered in Carlisle Pa. The manager of this location should not be in customer service. Very unprofessional, no people skill, she was dressed for wrestling match not to manage a motel. I had to confront this person to let her know I was taking our dog out of the room. The reason I had to say something this person she was less than 10 feet from the I was staying. I was only doing this for her protection the last thing I want is an accident you never know with animals. The answer she gave me blew my mind she said " I am the manager, this is my property I can be wherever I want to be" She went on to say she was already around my 2 times. The only way she way around my dog is if she went into the room I was staying in without my knowledge or consent. The dog is crated at all times when I am away from any room. That's some creepy stuff. To the owner you might want to get a new manager. She is going to cause you some problems. You should never enter someones room without their knowledge and consent. I am not telling anyone to stay away. I'm telling you to be aware of...
Read moreBased on so many good reviews, we decided to try the Motel 6 Carlisle Cumberland Valley for the first night of a long road trip in order to save a little money compared to our typical Hampton Inn stays. The location seemed ok. This is a drive-up motel style and utilized parking passes probably to avoid locals hanging out. It seemed to be in a fairly decent area. The hostess was friendly enough upon our late night check-in. There were people hanging out on the porches when we arrived, but there was no noise problem once we settled in. Pretty clean. Hard surface flooring, which is our preference over carpet. The room was decent. Bedding was not luxurious but was nice enough. We had a small problem of only having 3 towels for 4 registered guests. When we asked for a 4th set, the hostess called the request for the 4th "extra." What? But she gave us the "extra" set. We didn't use either the mini microwave or the minifridge, partly because the fridge didn't seem cold. We had a flickering vanity light, but that didn't really affect our stay. Water bottles and popcorn were a nice touch! Wifi worked. Nice hot shower and good water pressure. It was not Hampton Inn, but if you want to save some money, this hotel is a...
